  So much fun! Lovely hosts and we made some delicious food. We were on our honeymoon and decided to take this class and it did not disappoint. If we ever make it back we will 100% be doing it again!

  We enjoyed every aspect of this experience….shopping for provisions with Giuseppe in town, seeing his home and beautiful garden, learning to cook the fabulous meal with his lovely cousin Cristina, and enjoying the feast and the conversation. He followed up with photos, recipes and restaurant recommendations afterwards. Very highly recommend this unique experience!

  What a great experience! Giuseppe and his cousin Christine were excellent hosts for our smaller, intimate cooking lesson. Going through the Ortigia Market as a group to pick out all of our fresh ingredients was a really fun way to start off the day. From there it was a short trek to their home where we got settled in with some nice apertivo and got to prepping the food! We learned how to craft some really great authentic stuff highlighted by some beautiful caponata and pasta con zucca e salsiccia!   fantastic authentic experience. Giuseppe took us to the local market, and told us about local Sicilian ingredients and we bought in for the food of the day. Then a short drive to his villa where we made really nice Italian food. It was hands on where everyone could participate, regardless of skills. Guiseppe told live about Sicilian food culture, in perfect English. We made the fork, main dish, and dessert from the purchased raw materials, while eating some Italian snacks, including Guiseppe's own cheese - great, and drank some prosecco. There was another cook in the kitchen from guiseppes family, who helped us with the preparation and made sure the result was perfect. We finished eating the food together in the living room. We have been on several cooking experiences, but this one is the best. Guiseppe took many good photos of us, during the process, and those we received later on by email, as well as the recipes. Really good extra service.

  Giuseppe met us and took us to the market in Ortigia. He was assisted by his cousin Christina, who is a professional chef. Visiting the open air market was such a fun part of the trip because we learned so much about local Sicilian produce. We also learned that Sicilians cook by the season and that their menu is seasonal in nature. There are a number of plants and fish that I’ve never seen before. He also asked us specifically what we would like to eat …it was a bit overwhelming honestly because I didn’t know what I wanted to eat. He gave us a number of options and we chose a couple including red mullet and bruschetta. The pure redness of the tomatoes was like something out of a painting. It was pretty cool going to the stall of the fish market area and seeing the raw fish available for purchase. I really enjoyed visiting his home and seeing his beautiful garden and all the plants that he grows right at his house. The whole experience is like having lunch with a family member or a friend. It was so special. We started with appetizers. We had pasta which was fantastic with pumpkin and sausage and we also had a persimmon type of ice cream which I didn’t know was a thing ha ha for dessert. All in all it was such a wonderful day. I wholeheartedly recommend this excursion. It was more than cooking. It was sharing a wonderful meal with a new found friend..

  Amazing experience with Giuseppe. We went through the local ortigia market and picked fresh produce and meat. The cooking was fun and a unique experience.   Not even sure where to start with this amazing experience. We met at the local square and went on a tour of the local market. The quality of foods and options was mind-blowing. Our tour guide Francesco was so knowledgeable and friendly. After the market, we went to his family's home and he gave us a tour, and Aperol Spritzes were made. We started cooking with his supervision. After the cooking was complete, we all sat at his family's dining table. 10/10 AMAZING Experience. I would come back and do this tour again!

  We loved our market tour and cooking class! The endless aperol spritzes and wine made for an educational but very entertaining class. We got to be very hands on in the cooking class with Francesco observing. This is such a fun experience to have with friends and family, or to meet great people like we did. 10/10!
