We will pick you up from Reykjavik on our minivan marked with our Troll Expeditions Logo.
The pick up starts at the same time stated on your voucher and it can last up to 30 minutes.
Once everyone is aboard, off we go to Thingvellir National park to take part in one of the most exciting activities in the world: snorkelling between 2 continental tectonic plates!
Our guide will be at the meeting point waiting for you; once there, you will get ready with all the gears we provide: you just need to make sure you wear comfortable clothes (a thin layer of thermal clothes is recommended). It will take 5 minutes to walk to the Silfra fissure. From the outside, you may think this is just a regular lake; wait to be immersed underwater, and you will see the wonders of pure and clear glacier water, with an extraordinary visibility of about 100 meters! Our guide will take photos of you while snorkelling.
Once the activity has finished and everyone is ready, we will drive you back to Reykjavik.

We had a great time doing the snorkelling in such an unusual place. Abbi and the team were really friendly and helpful and helped us with the big suits which kept us remarkably warm. I would recommend. We met them at the snorkelling place which was really easy.

A great experience. We had a group of 6 including two 14 year olds, and everyone had a blast. Kevin was an awesome guide, remembered everyone’s name even in the masks, and explained everything leading up to, during, and after the event. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Is it cold? Your face gets cold and the gloves do get wet, it’s intentional, so your hands do get chilly but tolerable. But the rest of your body is dry and warm, at least when we went in June. It’s not a very long distance, it takes about 40 minutes to float, yes just float no swimming really, but it’s only a 5 minute walk back! Millions of people swim in the warm Caribbean Sea every week, but how many can say they did this!? Book it!

I didn’t do the one with the transfer as I had a rental car. Abbie was amazing with the group - very knowledgeable! Highly recommend🤩

Had a fantastic time going snorkeling during our stay in Iceland last week. Our guide was James, who was professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Whatever anxiety I initially felt was ultimately dispelled throughout the experience thanks to his detailed and clear explanations before, during and after the main activity. No notes!

Snorkeling between the tectonic plates was an incredible experience. Our snorkel guide, Kevin, was absolutely amazing, not to mention hilarious. He and the other snorkel crew took such great care of our group. Never once felt unsafe.

Great experience snorkeling with the transfer, well worth the price as this is a unique experience. Very glad we did not self drive - with the weather conditions in Iceland I wouldn't bother. Even for experienced drivers like us who are from the Nordics. I would like to say well done to the drivers and the instructors. They are so incredibly patient and take safety seriously. They work hard to make sure everyone gets pictures. I could never do this job with customers who do not follow basic instructions. I was pretty impressed by them.

Exceptional dive into the neans, between two tectonic plates! Thanks to Kevin who speaks French and bravely accompanies two groups a day in frozen air/water (-12/2 degrees)!
