This tour offers a rare two-country experience in just one day. From Riga, you'll travel to Lithuania's Hill of Crosses, a haunting and deeply symbolic site of resistance and hope. Along the way, enjoy regional insights from your guide and a scenic photo stop at the Latvia–Lithuania border.
Unlike standard tours, this journey also explores Jelgava — a hidden gem known for its riverside promenade, Orthodox cathedral, and the largest Baroque palace in the Baltics. Kryziu Kalnas
This sacred site in Lithuania features thousands of crosses symbolizing faith, hope, and resilience. Your guide will explain its powerful history and meaning, after which you'll have time to explore and, if you wish, leave your own cross. Domus Mariae Monastery (nearby) A peaceful monastery offering quiet reflection and an open chapel for visitors. A serene contrast to the dramatic symbolism of the hill.
Pause at the crossing point between Latvia and Lithuania for a brief photo opportunity. This symbolic moment marks the transition between two Baltic nations and offers a great chance to capture your journey between countries.

Great insight into history of Latvian and Riga on the way to Lithuania to visit the Hill of Crosses. An amazing sight and you can purchase a cross if you wish to place amongst the thousands!,, The lunch stop in Jelgava was a delight (you pay for this). This small town is very picturesque and so clean. Tour includes visit to Orthodox Church and ex palace in Jelgava. Our guide Victoria was first class , full of knowledge and so approachable.

Victoria was a lovely person and a very good guide. She was knowledgeable and friendly, and really connected with the group (of 16). The pre tour communications were also good and very clear. Hill of the Crosses was an amazing place and we enjoyed it very much. Jelgava was interesting to see with Victoria as she was so nice. There were lots of mosquitoes by the waters there (take some repellent!) Otherwise a great day trip to Lithuania and a Latvian city. Thank you Victoria...
