We will head southwest on Provincial Route 86, enjoying the landscapes of Cacheuta until we cross the tunnel that connects this town with Potrerillos. We will contemplate the wonderful view of the Cordón del Plata, Mendoza’s main source of water and, of the picturesque Potrerillos Dam, a mirror of crystalline water in the middle of mountains.

We will continue, until we reach the town of Uspallata. Where we will make a strategic stop to get a better view of the Valley.

Already back in the van, we will move a few kilometers, until we reach “Puente del Inca”. Mandatory stop icon of our mountain range.

Once we return to the route, the Aconcagua Provincial Park awaits us. There we will obtain the corresponding permits to make a walk of approximately two hours, to the viewpoint of the Laguna de Horcones, where we can see the South Wall and the summit of the highest hill in America.

*The route of the tour may be affected by road conditions during the winter due to weather conditions.

If the tour is carried out with only two passengers, the service will be offered in private car / van, with driver; or the possibility of changing to the Regular High Mountain Tour will be offered.

What To Expect

Potrerillos Dam

We will head Southwest on route 86, crossing the tunnel at Cacheuta village to get to Potrerillos. Here we´ll see the wonderful view of the majestic Cordon del Plata Range, the main source of Mendoza’s water, and the picturesque Potrerillos Dam, a clear water mirror surrounded by mountains.

Parque Provincial Aconcagua

The highlight of this adventure: the Aconcagua Provincial Park. We will get our permits with the Park Rangers, and start our one-hour hike, which will allow us to experience the surrealistic views of the highest peak in America, its flora, fauna, and beautiful sky. Not Included the entrance Park ticket (only argentinian pesos). All passengers must carry a passport

We went with Federico as guide and Juan Pablo as driver, both excellent. The experience was very good not only for the place but for all the info and how the guide was handled throughout the excursion. Kahuak is an Enterprise that surprised me for good the professionalism and responsibility in each tour contracted and the advice provided.

The tour was very beautiful and fun. We went to the Horcondes viewpoint which is a short walk through Aconcagua and incredibly cute. Guide Federico and driver Daniel are super friendly and made us have a long comfortable day and full of experiences. He recommended them a lot, the guides made the experience the best leaving us with vontade to return in summer for other experiences.

Excellent excursion to Aconcagua Park with Federico, a luxury guide. He explained every detail and answered all my questions with the enthusiasm of a person passionate about the mountain and his guiding work. On a spectacular day we travelled that wonderful route, with incredible scenery and as a crown, an exquisite lunch in Uspallata. I also want to thank Daniel who accurately led that fantastic path. Tips: do not miss this ride.

I had the opportunity to make the excursion to Aconcagua on a spectacular day, with an ideal climate that accompanied throughout the day. From the beginning, the organization was excellent and that made the experience even more pleasurable. Best of all was the guide, Federico. His experience was evident, but what really made the difference was his passion. Throughout the journey he told us stories, curious facts and details about the geography, fauna and history of the park with infectious enthusiasm. You could tell that he enjoys what he does, and that gets across. Also, he was always attentive to the whole group, making sure we were comfortable and safe. Another highlight was the driver, Marcos. Very friendly, friendly and also warm in the treatment. He made us feel cared for at all times, and the road trip was very quiet thanks to his driving. Aconcagua has a unique energy, and this excursion allowed me to live it safely, fun and enriching.

Beautiful excursion, the landscapes on the way to Aconcagua National Park are amazing Trekking in the park, spectacular. Federico, the guide, and Dani, the driver, geniuses. The food was very good. Everyone was very friendly and friendly. Highly recommended!!

I did the tour of the "Experiencia Aconcagua" with Federico and Daniel and was excellent, very attentive and careful. The tour was very complete, with right to a walk and lunch in a spectacular view of the mountain. Comfortable and in good condition.

My Guide is a mountain climber himself but he was also very knowlegable about the political and social history of the area and its border with Chile Our driver was a very even tempered man, always gregarious and helpful. I would gladly give this tour a 5 star rating but I believe there is always " room for improvement"
