We’ll journey from sky-high mountain peak to lush green valleys, enjoy a peaceful levada walk, stop in a charming village for a local lunch & a glimpse of Madeira’s iconic triangle houses. You’ll stand above the ocean on a glass viewpoint & explore a dramatic, windswept peninsula. Plus, we’ll surprise you with a few hidden gems off the beaten path.
The tour lasts between 6,5 to 8 hours. We don't watch the clock, we follow the magic, we go at your pace.

What To Expect
Pico do Arieiro
Our first stop is Pico do Arieiro, standing proud at 1,818 meters. As we wind our way up, you’ll feel the excitement building—once at the top, the views are nothing short of spectacular! Take in the sweeping panoramas, snap some photos, and breathe in the fresh mountain air.
Ribeiro Frio
We’ll descend into the tiny, picturesque village of Ribeiro Frio. Here, you can stretch your legs with a leisurely levada walk through a Laurissilva forest. This lush, green paradise is home to a variety of birdlife, so keep your eyes peeled for the friendly firecrest and the colourful chaffinch—they’re often hanging about.

5.00We spent a full day on our tour, and it was well worth the price! Our guide was very personable and made the experience great overall! Very knowledgeable, recommended some fantastic places to eat, and we had some wonderful conversations with him. Madeira is gorgeous and breathtaking no matter where you go, but our tour took us up into the highest peaks of the island where the views were absolutely stunning. Some of the stops had a lot of people and tough parking situations, so it was very nice to have someone experienced and knowledgeable to navigate the roads. Based on our experience, I would say the tour is best enjoyed by groups of adults, whether family or friends. Not to say that it would be bad to bring kids, but adults will get the most out of the stops and the banter with the guide.

5.00Today we were lucky enough to enjoy a private tour of Madeira with my family, and we can not be happier to have done it with Roberto. From the first moment it was attentive, close and always watching that we were all at ease. Despite not speaking Spanish, he made a great effort to communicate with us in our language, adapting at all times and demonstrating an involvement and dedication that feel real. It made us feel cared for and accompanied throughout the tour. As a driver, Roberto is impeccable: he transmits a lot of safety, something fundamental on the roads of Madeira. You can tell he loves the island and his work, and he gets it. It has been an amazing day and experience. 100% recommended.

5.00I recommend this tour as it was very complete and pleasant. The guide Roberto Camara was very attentive and demonstrated huge knowledge about the culture and history of the places visited. I do not regret making this tour, because the places chosen by the guide were beautiful. The tour was in a super comfortable electric car. The stop for lunch in Santana, at the restaurant indicated by the guide, was extremely pleasant with tasty traditional food. It made all the difference to have a friendly and enthusiastic guide who showed the places at the right time of the day, making the tour great! The tour exceeded our expectations!

5.00We had a great tour with Roberto he was very knowledgable & certainly knows his stuff about the flora & fauna of Madeira, it was a fun day out seeing the beautiful island of Madeira which Roberto clearly loves & cares about deeply. His electric Mercedes is very comfortable clean & quite. We had a great day with Roberto & will definitely re book with him on our return to Madeira. Highly recommend .

5.00Don't hesitate to do this tour with Roberto, his knowledge of the island is second to none. The electric 8 seater was just perfect, you hear what he was saying with no engine noise. His passion is palpable and you get to see and feel the island. A full day with pick up and drop off - worth every penny.
