Not to mention the magnificent snow-white sandy beaches and the beauty of the jungle that covers the island.
On the breathtaking coral reef of Tanikely, we offer snorkelling or even a 10–15-minute real scuba diving experience by our special, 1 Liter mini scuba tanks!
Our guests with their tour guide can easily experience the thrill of floating directly above the coral reefs in a cavalcade of colourful tropical fish, or swimming for minutes with a sea turtle, even without a diving licence.
With our braver guests in a one-hour trek we walk around this small jewel island and admire the black sandy and rocky coast on the other side of the island.
During the day we will also visit the lighthouse which gives an amazing view to the surrounding archipelago and to Madagascar.
The trip includes a delicious Malagasy lunch on the coast in the shade of coconut palms.

Traditional Malagasy lunch in the shadow of the coconut pals, make and serve by the natives. Delicious Malagasy grilled seafood and zebu stew, or chicken dishes.
Use of Snorkelling equipment
During the tour we allways provide snacks (like local sweet and salted banana chips) and fresh tropical (seasonal) fruits, like mango, jackfruit, litchi, banana, papaya, etc.
During the whole trip we providing cooled soft drinks, water, local beer, Malagasy Coco punch and even fruit flavoured Malagasy Rums. Alcoholic drinks for 18+ people only!
We will also provide you with a local phone card and a phone, including internet which works through the whole archipelago. During the whole trip you are welcome to use it.
Use of SCUBA equipment
1liter mini scuba diving tank and equipment! If you want a real scuba diving experience but having no diving licence, for an additional 25€/person you can dive for 10 minutes with our mini scuba tanks

What To Expect
Nosy Tanikely
Take a whole day trip with snorkelling and scuba diving, sunbathing, and an authentic Malagasy lunch at the white sandy coast of Tenikely. During the day we take an easy walk in the jungle on a path to visit the lighthouse which was built in 1805 and gives an amazing view to the surrounding archipelago and to the mainland Madagascar. With our braver passengers in a one-hour easy trek we walk around this small jewel island and you can also admire the black sandy and rocky coast on the other side of the island. You will meet chameleons, lemurs, megabats, lizards, and plenty of other interesting inhabitants. On the coral reef which is part of the best 10 snorkel places worldwide, we offer snorkeling or a 10–15-minute real scuba diving experience using our special mini scuba tanks. You will meet giant turtles, stingrays, giant clams, a wide variety of beautifully shaped corals, and the colorful tropical fish that live among them. You'll never forget Tanikely's fabulous coral reefs.

5.00The excursion is really an absolute must for snorkeling lovers. We saw a lot of the underwater world during our stay on the island. The many colorful fish and corals were definitely a highlight of the entire holiday. Our guide Soazaka also supervised us throughout the day.

5.00It was a small price to pay to feel exclusive on a private tour! If you're like me and prefer to not have lots of other tourists around when you ask the guide all your silly questions, then do it Private! My guide was super-friendly and informative, but then also left me to my own devices once we reached the beautiful beach and staked a place in the shade of a palm there. Then it just went: swim, rest, swim, eat ... (Lunch was FANTASTIC!) ... But then, I still hadn't seen any tortoises. I really didn't want to get too much more sun on me, but decided for one last snorkel, and ... SUCCESS! Off to my right, in about 12 feet of water, two of them frolicking and feeding off the rocks and coral! A total joy to get up close and flipper along with them! What a joy!

5.00Absolutely amazing. Never snorkeled before and this was a great place to try it out. Our guide was amazing as well as our cook who made us the best food we had the whole time in Africa. Heads up, as this is a coral reserve sun screen is not allowed. Plan accordingly so you don’t end up like us.

5.00Eleo was our guide. He did an excellent job of making sure that we got to and from the reserve safely. He also took us on a walk to see the lighthouse and some lemurs. We had a nice time snorkeling and swimming in the beautiful Indian Ocean. Lunch was delicious! I highly recommend this tour!

5.00I state that I never write recensioni.Ma Alberto tour deserves a review.Escursioni quality with valid means of transport, staff who speak excellent Italian and especially Tino. I have seen places that no longer exist in the world, such as Loko Be (tropical reserve) with chameleon lemurs and buoys. We've also done other wonderful hikes! 5.00My adult daughter and I took 3 day-tours with Fossa Travel. Each was excellent. Tanikely is known as the best in the area for snorkeling. Our guide (Elio) said he prefers Sakatia and after snorkeling there the next day, we agree. But Tanikely was still worthwhile. To get there, we were driven to the port of Hells-ville, where we were asked for our passports. We had left them locked in the safe of our hotel. They accepted other ID, thankfully. The boat ride to the island brought us right onto the beach. Since the tide was out, we first visited the lighthouse of the island. Snorkeling from the beach was easy. We saw a turtle, pretty fish, several giant clams, anemones and a lot of dead coral. I think it is like that around the world because of global warming. When Elio told us to come back to the beach for lunch, we were presented with an amazing picnic of freshly cooked whole fish, BBQ zebu and shrimp, coconut rice, fresh salad and fresh perfectly ripe fruit for dessert.

5.00Our excursion to Nosy Tanikely Marine Reserve exceeded our expectations! Our english speaking guide, Eric, was very enthusiastic and helped make our trip memorable. We especially enjoyed learning about Malagasy life & culture. The water is crystal clear and we enjoyed 3 separate snorkel swims. Lots of coral and fish within several feet of shore and the coral is in good condition. Twice we spent our entire time swimming alongside a Hawksbill Turtle. In between snorkeling we visited the lighthouse and found a troop of Brown Lemurs. We also walked along the beach to investigate the black lava formations. Eric designed a sand table with a colorful tablecloth for our delicious Malagasy Seafood lunch. The food was outstanding. Thank you Eric for a wonderful day!

5.00The trip to Tanikeky was amazing! We loved the beach and the reef was really beautiful and clear. We even swam with a big turtel. Our guid Joe was really good and we got a very good lunch! We even saw lemurs in the forest. This place is so worht a visit!
