Akagera National Park

Akagera National Park, established in 1934 and covering 1,122 square kilometers, is Rwanda’s premier savannah and wildlife destination. During your one day game drive, you will explore diverse landscapes of rolling hills, lakes, and wetlands, home to the iconic “Big Five” lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinoceros, and leopards as well as the fascinating “Small Five,” including antlion, leopard tortoise, elephant shrew, rhino beetle, and buffalo weaver. Rich in biodiversity and scenic beauty, the park offers breathtaking views of Lake Ihema and provides a perfect setting for photography, wildlife observation, and an unforgettable Rwandan adventure.
