Akagera National Park
Akagera National Park, established in 1934 and covering 1,122 square kilometers, is Rwanda’s premier savannah and wildlife destination. Located in Kayonza, Eastern Rwanda, Bashana Companies & the Imigongo Art Center offer a unique cultural stopover on the way to Akagera National Park. This vibrant site introduces you to Rwanda’s rich artistic heritage, especially the famous Imigongo art traditionally crafted by women using natural materials like cow dung to create beautiful geometric designs.
