What To Expect
Ponta Do Sol
Ponta Do Sol is a gracious town that has a spacious main square and a beautiful townhall. We gather at the tiny but lively harbour in front of the Tiduka hotel. Here we meet, have a coffee, and observe the activities that are taking place in the harbour. After a short introduction it is time to go for a hike! We walk up the steep mountain path and pass through colourful streets, green valleys and ocean landscapes. We are on our way to Fontainhas.
Monte Fontainhas
Fontainhas is the village with one of the most beautiful views in the world according to National Geographic. This fairy-tale village in situated on a high edge of the top of a mountain surrounded by vegetation and farming fields with a view to the Atlantic Ocean with a black sandy beach where one can go for some relaxation. We will have a short break here while the guide connects you with the history and people.

5.00This experience was one of the highlights of my trip to Cape Verde. My guide, Stephann, is a local and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. His insights helped me appreciate the region even more, especially learning how the coastal communities live and how far residents travel to reach the nearest major town. The surroundings are truly awe-inspiring. From jagged ocean cliffs to terraced mountainsides, there is so much to see along the hike. I appreciated every moment. The organization was excellent as well. I was able to communicate my needs directly with the operator through WhatsApp, which made everything easy. I also arranged a driver to the meeting point in Ponta do Sol, since I was staying deep in the Paul Valley. Overall, I highly recommend this tour. Even now, I still find myself thinking about how beautiful this hike was.

5.00We made a fantastic (spicy, where a little fitness is needed) trek with Stephann, a friendly and good English speaking young man with a lot of knowledge about Santo Antao, nature and culture. Caring, cordial, eager to learn and interested in our culture. It was a great day, which we eventually continued with a new trek with Stephann (ribeira da torre) the next day. We would like to warmly recommend everyone to make this draw. It's beautiful! Stephann and family, good luck building your guesthouse! Hope to see you soon!

5.00The scenery is incredible, our guide Djeison is passionate and attentive to his customers. He prepared us a beautiful fruit salad, we ate at Cruzinhas homestay, beautiful dinner and very friendly Welcoming. We recommend this activity but to good walkers, as it takes 16km and it is quite hot.
