I expected something wilder. The tour remains close to the village of Minca, on communication routes. The scenery is not breathtaking. The waterfall is small. The towers parade at the leu-leu tail. Nevertheless, it should be mentioned that the guide was very competent. This tour is more for learning about nature, coffee and chocolate than for discovering Whiskey landscapes.

A bit overpriced for what we got. It was poorly organized and lack of communication. Not really. The creatures we saw, Angel bees and their hive, leaf cutter ants, banana spider. Don't go with high expectations. Very informative and beautiful. The guide we had and his knowledge as well as the views. It gave us better understanding of how the nature works together. That we need to understand how important it is for humans to change they're behavior toward our planet. No my wife and I are very conscious about nature and our world. Enjoying going in the jungle and picking up garbage off the beach. Clean up after your self, pack it in and pack it out!! Coffee plantation and Chocolate tour areas were very clean and well cared for. It was all good.

Everything about this tour was perfect!! And, great value. It's well described by others, but I will emphasize that it's performed by very knowledgeable, professional staff. I forgot my chocolate in Minca, and it was located and delivered to my hotel. If you are staying in Santa Marta, don't miss this tour!!

Very nice tour with a day full of activities. Naturalist guides were available to answer all our questions; the lunch was good with grandiose view towards Santa Marta; a must do !

Coffee and chocolate are two of my favourite things so this tour that included a visit to a coffee farm and a seminar on how chocolate is made was a no brainer. You can add the spectacular scenery of the Sierra Nevada mountains. The fluently bilingual (Spanish and English) tour guide was a great help. I would warn that it’s a substantial hike, much of it steeply upward. Also the visits to the coffee shop and the waterfall involved very steep climbing on narrow dirt trails. Make sure you have good hiking shoes and bring lots of water and snacks. There weren’t any refreshments available until we reached the eco lodge at 2 pm.

It was just great! From the very begining to the end. Our guide has described many interesting things. The cacao workshop was great too

This was a walking tour around the mjnca jungle to a local independent coffee farm and a waterfall. After the waterfall, you walk to a fairly average lunch in a eco lodge and then more lectures about existing flora and fauna in the region capped by another lecture on chocolate making. The tour guide was good and very knowledgeable

The experience was good but be prepared that even if you are not getting into the waterfall you will need to wear water shoes. Depending on your guide you will need to walk through water at different times in the day. People had to constantly take off their socks and shoes and put them back on. I think our guide took us a different path and we walked a lot through the jungle so be prepared for a bit of walking. Also bring snacks we did not eat lunch until 3pm and we were all starving. Also the cacao experience you don’t really make your own chocolate bar so don’t think you will be getting a full chocolate bar it is more of a small ball. Overall it was a good experience. I would recommend.

I realize it's almost the busiest week of the year but Minca was absolutely overrun with people. I'm not sure if the tour was overbooked but we seemed to stay a long time at a coffee tour that took way too long and then it rained hard and the next part of the trek took over an hour so that we didn't get lunch until almost 3pm. The lunch was cold, dry rice and chickens some salad and cold veggies; with a few sweet mushy fruits. It was disappointing as we were all very hungry at that point and had trekked through a number rivers, gotten soaked and eaten alive by the bugs. The eco talk was good and the chocolate workshop was fun but by that time it was almost 4:30pm so it seemed rushed. I really enjoyed meeting so many people from around the world - there were around 25 ppl on the tour which I think made it too crowded and threw things off. I'm not sure if the price was inflated because of high season but it seemed expensive, with no snacks other than the lunch at 3pm (I got picked up at 8:30pm) and a couple of chocolates afterwards.

Tony was a great guide and gave great explanations. The locations we visited and foods we had were amazing! Would highly recommend to anyone who would like to learn more about the coffee and cocoa process!
