Absolutely loved this day trip with Trips & Tramps. Our guide Ashley was very friendly, organized, knowledgeable and fun. I thought the scenery was breathtaking during our tramp and then the boat cruise blew me away. What a beautiful (almost) untouched place. It would be wonderful if more kiwis would do it. We were in a group with 3 other couples from the USA and one couple from Australia, who were really lovely people. We walked quite quickly but everyone in the group was catered for. I didn't think a guided walk was really necessary, but this was awesome. Defiantly will do it again. Our guide Ashley and the boat captain share a lot of really interesting knowledge and history about the area and I just loved it.

Really enjoyed the time if it is raining you are going to have amazing waterfalls. Really enjoyed our time be careful with the rain and being on the second deck, it did damage the one camera with water coming sideways off the roof.

I did the 3 days Trips & Tramps trip as a solo traveller. I have to says that this day is very well plan and everything is running smoothly, but it wasn’t my favourite. The group felt pretty crowded which means that if you’re not near the guide when the group is on the move, you don’t really hear what they are saying. That said, they had many stop to give information. The walk wasn’t very scenic or challenging (flat).

We had an amazing day with our guide and protector, Phil. Phil was super knowledgeable and friendly, and his true love for the area and outdoors were apparent. All of the details were covered, from the on time pickup, nice van (rags for wiping window fog included), tons of interesting info from Phil on the way into the park (including spotting 5 Kea), excellent hand off to the boat crew, amazing boat ride filled with more information (plus a sunny day!) and a tasty lunch, 2 nice walks on the way back (also guided by Phil), and return back to Te Anau by 5pm. We felt really satisfied with the day overall. Thanks again!

Trips and Tramps should be rated #1, as this trip was excellent. Our guide, Phil, was knowledgeable, funny, and a great driver! The stops along the way (and the short hikes) were interesting an took us to beautiful spots. Impromptu stops, such as to see the waterfalls pouring down the mountainsides from the recent rain, were just fantastic. The van is comfortable, lunch provided on the tour was tasty, and the boat tour around the Sound was terrific. This is a great experience.
