Our guide and driver, Rew, was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer all our questions throughout the journey. He was also a very safe and confident driver, which was especially reassuring as parts of the road to Te Anau were more challenging than the typical roads we encountered in New Zealand. One of the highlights was the scenic stops along the way, which we likely would have missed if we had driven ourselves. We were also booked on a small boat, allowing us to get remarkably close to the waterfalls and enjoy a more immersive experience. Overall, it was a well-organized tour and a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Highly recommended. This version but shortened to one paragraph

Well worth it to have a small group and knowledgeable guide so could ask lots of questions and have in-depth discussions and tailor stops (to some extent) to specific interests and opportunities. For this reason, the drive was more interesting than the cruise part.

The tour of Milford Sound from Te Anau is one of the highlights of our trip to NZ. Tour guide Roo gave great information on wildlife, conservation, and the Fiordland area on the two hour drive to the Sound and the return to Te Anau. Enjoyed our short walks and stopping at viewpoints along the way. Boat tour was amazing - even saw an albatross following our boat. Highly recommend this tour.

Had an awesome day led by Jeff. He had so much knowledge about everything NZ along with a great sense of humour. Kept us entertained all day. He took us to some great hiking and photo spots which we would have never known about on our own. The cruise was so scenic. Great to be on a smaller boat. Highly recommended tour.

The trip includes a guided drive to and from Milford Sound from Te Anau and a two-hour boat cruise on the sound, including a tasty picnic lunch. The drives down and back include a number of photo stops and several interesting short hikes. Our Fiordland Trips and Tramps driver/guide was charming, and knowledgeable about local culture, history, and horticulture.

This was a wonderful tour. Our guide, Ben, had a great sense of humor, was very knowledgeable about the area and a safe driver over very winding mountainous roads. The lunch was both nutritious and tasty. The cruise was enjoyable but it's hard not to enjoy with such beautiful scenery.

We thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the tour to Milford Sound with Olivia as our guide. She enhanced our experience with history, photo stops, hike, personal antidotes of the area and much more. We were grateful to leave the driving to her so we could fully enjoy the trip (getting picked up from our lodging was a bonus as well). The cruise was amazing with the rain and wind and WATERFALLS! Too many to count! Olivia’s excitement of the waterfalls was contagious 😊 Highly recommend this family-owned and run company.

What a fabulous day. Out guide, Olivia, couldn't have been better. She was interesting, enthusiastic and fun. Even though the day was wet, it was a great day, with waterfalls streaming down wherever you looked. The stops on the way for photos and walks were all good. The boat trip was amazing. We even spotted seals. I highly recommend it.

We had an incredible day touring Milford Sound. Our tour guide, Phil, was an incredibly friendly person. He did a great job with teaching all of us on the tour what he could, and pointed out lots of spots along the way. Would recommend the experience to anyone wanting to travel to Milford Sound!
