From the moment he picked us up in his beautiful, spotless Mercedes van, we knew we were in great hands. Carlos was not only punctual and professional, but also incredibly warm and personable — his sense of humour made every drive feel like a conversation with an old friend. Traveling with a young child can be tricky, but Carlos went out of his way to accommodate our son with proper child seats and plenty of patience. That level of thoughtfulness meant everything to us as parents. Over several days, he took us on tours through Lisbon, Cascais, and surrounding areas, always sharing insightful, in-depth knowledge about history, culture, and even where to find the best local food. He’s truly a walking encyclopedia — but never in an overwhelming way. Just the right mix of facts, stories, and laughs. 5.00Portugal is a beautiful country that looks amazing in pictures, books, and videos, but when you visit it in person with the help of Carlos, your experience becomes truly enchanting. Our adventure in Portugal began with Carlos, a friendly guide who was waiting for us at the entrance of our hotel. He said to us, "I am here for you, let me know what you want to see," and we knew we were in good hands. Carlos is a tour guide who listens to his clients' needs and wants. Whenever we wanted to stop for coffee, lunch, pictures, or ice cream, Carlos took us to the best places. He also took us to many interesting locations that showcased the rich history of Portugal. The country is full of beautiful castles, beaches, rivers, legendary bridges, and great people. If you want to experience the authentic Portuguese culture, make sure your tour guide is Carlos. He will transform your tour into an enchanted experience full of historical facts and fun. Oh, did I mention that he is also a true gentleman? On the coast of Cascáis, the weather suddenly changed, and I became very cold. My husband and I didn't have jackets, but Carlos noticed my situation and offered me his jacket. I immediately felt comfortable and grateful. It is comforting to know that in 2022, there are still gentlemen like Carlos. At the end of our tour, we said, "See you next time, my friend." Yes, Carlos is now our Portuguese friend.
