  We did a half-day tour from Bath to Stonehenge and I cant rate our tour high enough at 5 stars. Matthias is personable and his knowledge of Stonehenge and British history is phenomenal. If you want to see Stonehenge, book with Galahadtours.co.uk and Matthias. Absolutely brilliant.

  SPECTACULAR!!! well versed in all history, fun, educational. Entire family had a blast, took the time to explain the backstory of stone henge prior to getting on the bus. Once at the site, the pre-amble helped explain and make the tour so much better than just “showing up and looking at the rocks”! Would definitely take another tour, well worth the money!!

  Matt was a great guide. He was flexible and created a custom experience for my client and our group. Matt’s storytelling was entertaining as well as factual. I’ve done many of these London day trips and I learned more with Matt than any other tour. Highly recommend!

• The Best Private Tour of Bath and Stonehenge

  We were so lucky to have Matt referred to us as a top private guide for a full-day visit of Bath and Stonehenge. We were only in the region for a couple of days so we wanted to maximize our time to learn about these two local highlights in one full day. Matt was so knowledgeable and friendly and knew how to explain the background and history of the mysterious stones and fascinating city of Bath in an entertaining way so that the day just flew by and we ended up seeing and learning so much (Druids! Jane Austen! Bridgerton!). Having him share his knowledge about Stonehenge made the visit 100x more valuable than those mass bus tours that just drop you off to use an audio guide or read the signs. And he could easily customize any part of the tour depending upon guests’ needs and desires. The fully-appointed modern mini-coach/van could hold up to 6 or so guests, so this was ideal for a couple or family. Galahad is not a service that farms out tours to random drivers/guides of various levels of experience, this is Matt’s business and when you book a tour you get him and all of his local knowledge and skills of communication at your command. Don’t hesitate to book if you are looking for the highest quality of private tours in the Bath and lower Cotswolds area.

  Such an amazing tour! We took a very lovely train out from Paddington station London to Bath. He picked us up in a comfortable Van then off to Stonehenge where we spent a couple hours really hearing the in-depth history and mysteries of the place. Then off to the oldest Inn in England and amazing Cask Ale, Cider and Fish&Chips. FInally, a tour of the Roman baths and the City of Bath with lots of behind the scenes information. I highly recommend this over a mass bus tour from London!!!

  My husband and I used a travel agency to book our summer trip which included a full day private tour of Stonehenge and Salisbury. We knew nothing about the tour company they'd selected for us. We were simply in the hands of the travel agency and we trusted their choice. Only after the tour began did we learn we were booked with Galahad Tours. We were excited to see these areas of England which we’d never visited before. We would only be there for 2 days, staying in Bath, so we felt a tour was the best way to get the most out of our limited time. But alas, airline delays caused us to miss an entire day of our trip which left us no time at all to explore Bath itself. We were very disappointed but relieved we still had the tour to look forward to. Matt picked us up in Bath on time in his very comfortable van. On the way to Stonehenge, we expressed our dismay over missing Bath entirely. Matt was eager to help us make the most of our time. As it happens, Matt has a wealth of knowledge on Bath. Stonehenge was a must for us so we weighed the pros and cons, Bath versus Salisbury, and together we decided to change our plans on the spot. We spent the morning at Stonehenge (fantastic) then had a lovely lunch break in a delightful Cotswold pub, then toured Bath the second half of the day. We had a wonderful day with Matt, filled not only with interesting facts and history but also engaging conversation. He was simply a pleasure to spend the day with and we'd so grateful for his willingness to change course and make our day perfect for us. The next time we visit England, we will happily book directly with Galahad without any hesitations. Thank you, Matt & Galahad!
