Qutb Shahi Tombs
The Qutb Shahi Tombs are located in the Ibrahim Bagh (garden precinct), close to the famous Golconda Fort in Hyderabad, India. They contain the tombs and mosques built by the various kings of the Qutb Shahi dynasty. The galleries of the smaller tombs are of a single storey while the larger ones are two storied. In the center of each tomb is a sarcophagus which overlies the actual burial vault in a crypt below. The domes were originally overlaid with blue and green tiles, of which only a few pieces now remain

It was just the right balance of walking and drive-through experience of the city. When added with a brilliant guide as Mr Srinu, who patiently answered our questions and ensured that he gives contextual history recap before sharing the specific details of the place. Very knowledgeable and humble guide with very respectful attitude. The drive was also very well planned and managed, allowing us to cover a lot without getting tired.

We had a lovely tour guide, Anand, and driver Munner...who took good care of us on a hot summer day. I wish the tour operators offered these trips later in the day so the weather could be more pleasant..other than the heat...we definitely enjoyed the trip and do recommend it highly

Our tour guide Anand and driver Saif are both super nice. Anand passionately shared his knowledge about the history of India and in particular Golconda fort, the Qutb Shahi Tombs and Hyderabad including many interesting anecdotes and special artifacts such as places where there is strong echo and whispering Hall effects. He was very patient in explaining things to make sure that we understand and in answering our questions. He gladly accepted our request to replace the visit to the Laad Bazaar by the chowmanhalla palace. The owner at the cafe was extra nice too and the cookies and tea weee delicious. Anand also took many nice pictures for us. I just wish that we were more prepared to be able to go into the Mecca Masjid. We can only go in there barefoot, but because I did not wear socks I was afraid to go in because the ground may be too hot. I also wish that we were told to look out for the Birla Mandir when passing by. The vehicle we had was very comfy and roomy and cool.

This was probably the best city tour I've ever had. My guide Syed Hashimi was a local of Hyderabad and it clearly showed. He answered all of my questions in great detail, and he feels a deep connection with the city that he shared with me. A highlight of the day was meeting the owner of Nimrah cafe, who is good friends with Syed. I highly recommend this tour and booking with Syed if possible.
