What To Expect

Start your day snorkeling one of the many beautiful reefs around St John or St Thomas, see sea turtles, sea rays, and various coral. Then visit one of the many beautiful beaches around both islands, like Magen’s Bay Beach or check out one of the many bays on St John, like Peter Bay, Waterlemon Cay, Maho Bay or Leinster. For lunch we can take you to one of the many great lunch spots on the water, including Pizza Pi , Lime Out VI, or the new Beach Club at Lovango Resort. You can also check out restaurants in Cruz Bay or downtown Charlotte Amalie.

Highly recommend this company. From the initial booking right to our return to the dock everything was top notch. Communication was prompt and courteous. Our pickup was timely and exactly as described. Our 37’ Intrepid with triple 350’s was a beautiful, comfortable, beast! Holden was our Captain and he was great. He made us feel safe and comfortable and took us to some amazing snorkeling spots in addition to a really cool restaurant that was on an old ship! We ended our excursion with a trip to an actual floating bar. The whole time Holden made sure we were comfortable, safe, and having fun. If you are wanting to do a boating excursion when in the St Thomas / St John area you have to use Sonic. You will not be disappointed!!

If you are looking for a way to enjoy the best of the islands away from the busy crowds of the classic tour boat scene, book a day with Sonic Charters! They were easy to work with, and we had a wonderful day on the water. First stop, of course, was customs on Tortola. We arrived before the ferry boat and were in & out in about 45 minutes, thanks to our amazing Captain, Holden. He then mapped out a great day of snorkeling & fun stops for food & drink! We went to Norman Island (BVI) for snorkeling at the Caves and the Indians, and then to Willy T's for drinks. In the afternoon, we visited Pond Bay on the eastern side of St. John's for more snorkeling and to Lime Out for lunch. This was the best day of our week-long stay in the Virgin Islands! I would highly recommend Sonic Charters.

Capt Patrick and Sonic Charters are always the best. Another great trip. Patrick made some suggestion to get us through BVI customs faster and get our day started faster and to new locations for us. Always, a professional company and staff. It's the only charter service I will use in the Virgin Islands

Captain Pat was absolutely amazing as he took us from St. Thomas to the British Virgin Islands. We toured Norman Island and jumped off of the Willy T barge! We snorkeled and saw many fish and a turtle! Finally, he took us to Jost Van Dyke, where we visited the famous soggy dollar bar. He was a terrific captain, and we feel like we made a new friend. Great job sonic!

EPIC FAMILY ADVENTURE IN THE BVIs — THANK YOU SONIC & CAPTAIN PAT! If you're looking for a great day in the British Virgin Islands, stop searching and book with Sonic Charters — and request Captain Pat if you can! Our family of 5 had the most incredible day aboard their 37-foot Intrepid, which was both super comfortable and impressively capable. The wind picked up and the swells got big, but this boat handled everything with ease. It truly eats up the chop and keeps you dry and relaxed — ideal for a family trip. Captain Pat was the real MVP of the day. He handled customs in Tortola like a pro while we kicked back on the boat. Then we were off to Treasure Point for snorkeling — so many fish! From there, we explored the Norman Island Caves and, honestly, we've been on a bunch of snorkel/scuba trips, and this day topped them all. The reefs Pat took us to were absolutely teeming with fish and marine life. The snorkeling gear was already onboard and ready to go, making it all seamless. After two amazing snorkel stops, we headed to the legendary Willie T for lunch and a couple cocktails. The kids had a blast jumping off the top deck — definitely a memory-maker! From there, we cruised to Foxy’s on Jost Van Dyke for more fun and then finished with Painkillers at the Soggy Dollar. Captain Pat anchored close, and we waded into the beach like pros. Perfect vibe, perfect drinks, perfect beach. To cap it all off, we cruised over to Trunk Bay for a little sightseeing and a smooth ride back while taking in the scenery and enjoying one more round of family laughs. Whether you're traveling with kids or college-aged young adults, Sonic Charters — and especially Captain Pat — deliver an unforgettable experience. We saw the must-see spots, had incredible snorkeling, and never once felt rushed or stressed. Everything was taken care of. Thank you Sonic and Captain Pat for making this a highlight of our trip. Highly, highly recommend!
