What To Expect
Swayambhunath Stupa, also called Monkey Temple, is a very old and sacred religious monument in the Kathmandu Valley. Perched on a hill, it offers breathtaking views of the city and mountains. The white dome and golden finial of the stupa, which is decorated with Buddha's all-knowing eyes, symbolize wisdom and compassion. A UNESCO World Heritage property, it is sacred to both Buddhists and Hindus and symbolizes the coexistence between the two faiths.
Patan Durbar Square
Patan Durbar Square in the heart of Lalitpur (Patan) is Nepal's finest cultural and historical complex. The durbar was once the palace of the Malla monarchs, and it boasts exquisite Newar architecture in its intricately carved wooden windows, doors, and pagoda-style temples. The square encompasses several significant monuments, including the Krishna Mandir, Bhimsen Temple, and Hiranya Varna Mahavihar (Golden Temple), which offer a blend of Hindu and Buddhist influences. 5.00I had an wonderful experience touring Kathmandu with Ram. He took us to Boudanath Stupa, Pashupathinath Temple, Swayambunath Temple and the historic Durbar Square. Ram provided the history, religious significance and the culture around each site. Ram has deep and detailed knowledge about each place we visited. What stood out most was his calm and respectful approach. He was happy to answer our questions. I would highly recommend Ram to anyone visiting Kathmandu, especially first-time visitors!

5.00We had the pleasure to take this temple tour of Kathmandu this morning. We walked to many impressive sites and Ram was able to answer our numerous questions about hinduism and buddhism. We went to the old imperial palace and again, he was able to explain the complicated history of the Nepalese monarchy. We ended the tour at a great rooftop restaurant. Ram gave us a great tour!

5.00We had a good experience with Ram doing a tour of Patan Dhabar square and Bhaktapur. He was friendly and knowledgeable, but also answered our questions about life in Nepal. The trip length was a few hours. We paid for own admission. The crowds were medium sized. The transport was clean and it made this experience very convenient.
Can't think of a better way to see the UNESCO world heritage sites in less than a day. Ram was an excellent guide!

5.00Ram was an excellent guide, couldn't have asked for anyone better! He knew where my hostel was and picked me up at the start of the day. We beat the worse of the crowds thanks to his planning. He was very knowledgeable of each place we stopped, and never hurried me along when I took a little too long reading the information or taking photos. At the end of the day, he took us to a fantastic restaurant that had wonderful views of the massive Stupa, and we got a small tour of a local art school. 10/10 would recommend, absolutely best way to visit the awesome UNESCO sites around Kathmandu. Not having to worry about transportation, as well as having an experienced and knowledgeable guide, made it well worth it. Thanks Ram!

5.00I visited 4 touristic attractions with Sumit, my guide. It was very busy on Saturday visiting the temples. Sumit and his driver were so good and well organized. Sumit had lots of interesting knowledge, and he have a great sense of humor.
