We climb a volcano (inactive, of course) We walked roads paved by cooled volcanic lava. We visited katos garden. We saw the native plantation of vineyards . And the dromedary walk in the middle of a landscape dominated by multicolored compact sand dunes, could not be missed.

We think this was the tour we went on? Ours was organised by "Canary Trip Booking" Ours went to Timanfaya, Green Lagoon and El Golfo, with a lunch stop in possibly "Yaiza"? so our review might be slightly different to the ones that you go on ? We go collected by a bus at our hotel "Mirador Papagayo" on time, and collected other guests from hotels in the area. We then took that bus to another town, where we met us with another bus that would take us on the tour. The only downside to this was, the first bus did not have any information to say where it was going etc, so we just asked the driver. The fact that it stopped at our hotel, at the collection time stated, also gave it away. When we got on the other bus, we were welcomed by our guide "Alexandra" who was excellent. Giving information in English, Spanish and French. We went to the Timanfaya natural park first. We took the chance to ride a camel for approx 11 euros each first. It last approx 20 mins, you do get a view, but, contrary to what you are told, the views from the bus are better, and you dont have the whiff of the camel! Our guide was quite funny, as all the camels in our train were named after leaders of certain counties. the camels appeared well looked after, and as always with camels, you always have a few grumpy ones, who make their displeasure of getting up or down known! First of all, if you go by bus, you have the benefit of jumping the ques of all the cars etc. We were told, that if you go by car, you can que for 2-3 hours in high season. Thats just to get to the tourists centre. To go round the park itself to see the volcanoes and the views, you have to go by bus! The tour is on great tarmac roads, the bus gets close to the edge at times. There are places it will stoop so you can take pictures. However, you can not get out the bus. I believe that if you sit on the right side of the bus, you should get better picture opportunities? as the views we had, seemed to be more numerous on the right side than the left. After that we went to lunch at a small town ( cant remember the name ) We did not partake in the lunch, just took our own refreshments. There was a cute white church in the centre. We then went to a wine tasting area. I found the way they grow the grapes in the volcanic ash amazing, with their deep holes, and semi circle walled protection. We then went to El Golfo, top see the "green lagoon" its amazing, and also is the surrounding area. Its free to enter and park there. You only have approx 20 mins there, so its quite rushed. We actually went back to the area a few days later. The bus tour was great, we saw everything and more, and learned a lot about the island etc.

Guide Roland and driver Luciano were fantastic! Very informative and well paced tour. Nice mix of different sites and activities and good length. The island is so beautiful and dramatic! Was interensting to learn some of the history of the island, especially the volcanic eruptions!

Nice trip with excellent bus driver and guide. Timanfaya was just as I remembered it. Been 3 times. It is really a haunting landscape and still amazes me. Don’t get long enough at the top but I understand as it’s so busy. Green lagoon was just that. First saw it 38 years ago and still have the same opinion underwhelming. You can’t get close to it. We never had the lunch buffet we thought it was expensive and had a look and didn’t look appealing to us but there is a cafe next door so had a coffee and croissant there. Can’t comment on winery as I don’t drink wine. Didn’t do camels as been done before. Overall a lovely day out.

The tour is a little shorter than expected. This means that visiting times are limited. The tour is well organized. Guide and driver are very good. Only black spot, the meal (not nice boss, very kind food, promised dessert, but not good or absent). Restaurant to avoid. If except for the meal, recommended tour.

Positive experience, nice though unprofessional guide, lunch in a very poor Yaiza restaurant

The tour itself was good and good value for money, however, the bus was 1 hour late to pick us up which was frustrating when traveling with young kids. The tour guide was lovely and we still got to see everything without being rushed despite the late start.

Despite a rough delayed start due to two cruise ships in port and lost tourists, Yvette (polyglot guide) and Ignacio (driver extraordinaire) did a great job on the tour! We really enjoyed the unique landscape of Tiimanfaya and the rest of the island. Lunch buffet had something for everyone. Of note, tour was conducted in three languages (English, Spanish and German) which sometimes made it hard to hear as tourists not listening to their language many times talked over those trying to listen to their language. If English or other language-only tour is important to you, check with operator before booking.
