5.00My friend and I had the absolute pleasure of spending 8 hours touring Crete with Marinos from Unique Crete VIP Tours, and it was hands down one of the best experiences of our trip! Marinos is not just a tour guide—he's a passionate storyteller who truly brought Crete's rich history and culture to life. Throughout the day, he shared fascinating stories and historical insights that gave us a deep appreciation for this beautiful island and its people. What made this tour so special was how personal and authentic it felt. Marinos stopped along the way to introduce us to local herbs growing wild on the hillsides and showed us the incredible variety of fruits and vegetables native to Crete. His knowledge of the land and its produce was impressive and added such a unique dimension to the tour. The visit to the olive oil factory was a highlight! Marinos made sure we understood what distinguishes exceptional olive oil from ordinary ones, and the tasting was both educational and delicious. You can tell he takes pride in sharing Crete's culinary treasures with visitors. The speedboat trip to Spinalonga Island was thrilling and the tour of the island was deeply moving. Marinos provided context and history about the island’s history. Marinos's warmth, expertise, and genuine love for Crete made this tour extraordinary. He went above and beyond to ensure we had an authentic, memorable experience. If you want to truly understand and experience Crete beyond the typical tourist stops, I cannot recommend Unique Crete VIP Tours and Marinos highly enough! 5.00A huge thank you to Maria for organising a private tour for us at short notice. We visited the island of Spinalonga and stopped at various locations including a monastery on the way there. We were lucky enough to have Nikos as our guide for the second time during the week and he did not disappoint. He went out of his way and rescheduled the itinerary for the day just so we could try authentic gyros from a local restaurant. We also stopped at a couple of lovely cafes for Greek coffee breaks. We were able to use a smaller port and shorter (10 minutes) crossing from Crete to Spinalonga which would not have been possible had we opted for a larger coach tour. Thank you for such a lovely day Nikos, you really made our first visit to Crete very special

5.00We did three different tours and all were great, our guide Nicos was the absolute hit. He showed us his homeland so lovingly always with a laugh. Also in advance when booking Maria advised us great. A great small business. She will make her way and is highly recommended, they were wonderful trips all around

5.00The olive oil tour was most enlightening. Marionas was extremely knowledgeable. Answered all our questions and more. It was a private tour for the 4 of us. He was very flexible about which parts of the tour we wanted to spend the most time on. He took us to an amazing Greek restaurant with delicious food as well.

5.00The day started early, but as soon as the tour started, we were in for a treat! Marinos, the tour guide, was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. The first stop was an olive oil factory, where he explained how olive oil is made, and how much olive oil cretans consume! We were fascinated, and were given enough time to look around and enjoy the experience! During the tour, he bought us coffee and fruit, and made sure we were comfortable the whole time! The van was air-conditioned, and well-maintained. We highly recommend this tour, if you want to see the “real Crete”, as well as the full experience! One of our favorite days of the whole vacation!

5.00We had the best day seeing eastern Crete with Marinos! It was a full day touring the olive oil factory, climbing up to Zeus Cave, and exploring Spinalonga Island. Marinos is a wealth of information regarding Crete and was a truly excellent host and guide for our private tour. 5.00What a fantastic day we had! Marinos treated us like his own family and was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Crete. We loved learning about the history and culture of Crete from showing us his wedding video to explaining centuries long traditions of the Cretin people. My entire family enjoyed the adventure, from my teenager to my husband. Highly recommend!
