What To Expect
We offer pickup from the hotel. After arrival to our place you can have cup of tea or cofee. then you will get nice explain about the spices and vegetables. after that You can choose menu with your choice what to make as a curry and you have to cut ,chop the vegetables and , grate the coconut . We will teach you how to cook it. Finally, you can eat the meal. Dishes will be customizable based on daily market offerings, preferences and dietary restrictions. Choose from a variety of fresh, local vegetables and ingredients. Every gathering is different!

5.00Great fun cooking multiple curries in a home setting, and then getting to eat them all for lunch. I'm afraid we did not manage to eat all that we cooked though! Thank you so much for welcoming us into your home and sharing your skills.

5.00We had such an excellent time with Madhu! From going to the Dutch Market and Fish Market, choosing what we wanted to make to cooking in her lovely home and meeting her welcoming family, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. This was also a brilliant way to try lots of different produce, and we have learned skills that we will use in everyday life. We cannot recommend this highly enough!

5.00An authentic and delicious cooking experience, we visited the market to gather ingredients. Madhu and her family were so welcoming, we had a glimpse into their daily life. We helped prepare so many dishes that were bursting with flavour, it was awesome to use the timeworn mortar and pestle that has been passed down the generations. I highly recommend.

5.00The real star of this experience, Ms Madhu. Right from meeting us at the pickup location, taking us around the market to buy the ingredients to cook and of course most important inviting us to her home and cooking with us. This isn't a cooking studio or a restaurant/ hotel gimmick. It's a real home cooking experience with actual earthenware and traditional methods using whole spices and old school techniques. What we loved the most is the variety of vegetables used, we literally had flavoured rice with 5 different veggies, an egg dish and traditional chicken curry. We all ate the meal at her home in their family dining table. Best meal we've had on our trip to SL thus far, highly recommend this experience.
