Join us for a walk through history as we explore the center of Split, a 1700year-old city and ancient Roman city-palace protected by UNESCO.
We will stroll not only through the old town, the Palace and its cellars but also through 2000 years of history filled with both educational and amusing, as well as bizarre situations.
Meereen, the place where Daenerys spent three seasons, where scenes of the fight between slaves and masters (the "kill the masters" scene) were filmed, battles of Grey Worm and the Unsullied against the Sons of the Harpy, the death of Ser Barristan Selmy who saved Grey Worm, the dragons that Daenerys chained and later fed to the evil masters.
Who was Emperor Diocletian, the greatest persecutor of Christians, and why did he vomit after dinner? How much did the Venetians pay for Split? Why does a headless Sphinx guard the entrance to Jupiter’s temple?
We will show you what we eat and where to find the best food and local wine - Dalmatian specialties!

Marko gave us a fantastic tour around the city - really knowledgeable about the general history and GoT related things. He was also very funny which made the tour even more enjoyable. Would highly recommend! A perfect addition to our other game of thrones tour in Dubrovnik

Our tour was fantastic! We would recommend it to anyone... Funny, interesting, and an absolute must for Game of Thrones fans... Our tour guide Marco was brilliant. Super nice, funny, and he provided us with really interesting details about Split alongside Game of Thrones insights. We would book the tour again immediately.

We were looking for a tour in Split related to Game of Thrones. Unfortunately, this was only offered in English through Get Your Guides. I sent a request for a German tour. A contact and response from Marko came very quickly. He organized a wonderful tour for us. It was so exciting, and we were simply thrilled. This was also due to our guide Arijana, who conducted this tour with us. She shared so much knowledge, insights, and stories, and she made it clear to the two participants without GOT knowledge that they absolutely must watch the series. Marko also compiled scenes and images, and we were able to view the filming locations very nicely. We particularly enjoyed the historical context of the series. Many thanks to Marko and Arijana. I can only recommend reaching out if you have any requests!

This is perfect if you want to schedule more than one activity in a day! Marco was spectacular and had a great sense of humour! The combination of history and game of thrones was so interesting, even if you haven’t seen the show! Thanks Marco, for a wonderful tour!

I found the tour to be a great way to learning about the history of Split and its main attractions. To add Game of Thrones commentary, locations, and video was the icing on the cake. And then dinner recommendations with even discount coupons. Perfect!

I recommend this tour highly. The guide, Marko did fantastic research 🧐 and showed us the scene almost frame by frame. Marko had good sense of humor and very sociable. He even spoke very little Japanese. I liked the fact that it was a small group. It was really good for me that this tour covered historical points of Split as city. So I didn’t have to do separate tour for that.
