From Botlierskop Game Reserve we head to Knysna. We visit Knysna Lagoon where you can go on a sunset boat cruise (own cost activity). As the sun dips below the horizon, the lagoon is bathed in warm, golden light, creating a magical atmosphere. Knysna Heads
After breakfast we go on a tour of Knysna Heads. A tour of the Knysna Heads offers a captivating exploration of one of the Garden Route’s most iconic landmarks. From Knysna Heads we proceed to Robberg Nature Reserve for hiking. Hiking in Robberg Nature Reserve is a captivating adventure that showcases the stunning natural beauty of South Africa's coastline. We then proceed to Bloukrans Bridge where you can do some bungy jumping, the highest in the world. This is an own cost activity. Bungee jumping from Bloukrans Bridge is an exhilarating experience that promises an adrenaline rush like no other. We do a brief tour of Cape Agulhas. A tour of Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa, is a fascinating journey to a place where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. We then proceed to Hermanus. A visit to Hermanus is a delightful experience, especially known for its world-class whale watching opportunities. From June to December, Hermanus becomes a prime spot for spotting southern right whales as they migrate to the area to breed and calve. We continue with our tour of Hermanus in the morning with possibilities to watch whales (in season).
Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate
We then proceed to Benguela Cove Wine Estate where we get to taste 5 different wines. Wine tasting at Benguela Cove Wine Estate is a refined and delightful experience set against a stunning backdrop of the Bot River Lagoon and the Kogelberg Mountains. The estate's tasting room offers an elegant setting where visitors can sample a diverse range of expertly crafted wines, from crisp whites to robust reds. We then make our final stop at Betty's Bay where we see African Penguins. Betty's Bay is a charming coastal village renowned for its unique African penguin colony. Located along South Africa's picturesque False Bay coastline, the Betty's Bay Penguin Colony is a must-visit destination where you can observe these charismatic birds in their natural habitat. The colony, nestled among the rocks and coastal vegetation, provides an up-close view of the penguins' endearing behaviors, from their distinctive waddling to playful interactions.
Cape Town
We finally make our journey back to cape town arriving at 6pm to conclude the tour. Driving the Whale Coast from Betty's Bay to Cape Town is a scenic and enchanting journey along South Africa's southern coastline. This route takes you through charming coastal towns, rugged cliffs, and serene beaches, offering stunning ocean views and opportunities to spot marine wildlife.
