Charent's Arch
The first stop is near the Arch of Charents, which is named in honor of Armenian poet Eghishe Charents, who wrote the best poem, dedicated to Armenia, full of true love and pride. From this place opens a breathtaking view to Ararat, probably the most stunning view of the Biblical mountain.
Garni Temple
The next stop is Garni Temple (77 A.D.) –it is the only standing heathen temple in the whole post-Soviet area. The temple gracefully stands on a high plateau overlooking the Azat river gorge. The surrounding area itself is incredibly beautiful. The greek-roman bath house with the mosaic, made out of 30,000 pieces of natural stones, as well as the ruins of the royal palace, will take you to 3rd century A.D. Not far from the temple of Garni (about 10 minutes’ walk), there is a cozy local restaurant with an amazing view of the temple, where you can relax and take part in master-class of tasting of freshly baked lavash – traditional Armenian flatbread.

Our trip was extra special because of our tour guide, Nektar! Her energy was so amazing that’s why we enjoyed the whole trip. I’d really love to be back and explore more of Armenia and hoping Nektar will still be our tour guide.

The ttrip was very well organized. We were late but the agent gave as a very good advice and helped us to catch up the excurtion by the taxi. The guide spoke fluently Russian and English, was very helpful and professional. The one day trip is well thought. The lunch was also excellent. I would definitevely recommend to take this excurtion.

Wonderful day trip! Very well-paced, gave us plenty of time to explore each location on our own. We felt very safe and taken care of, and even made friends with the others in our tour group. Our tour guide was so friendly, knowledgeable, and sweet. Thanks!

We had an amazing tour in Yerevan with Sahn (apologies if I got the name spelling wrong) who was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate. She made every stop engaging and memorable, and her calm patience against some made the whole experience even better. The lavish bread-baking was a real highlight, giving us a warm and authentic glimpse into Armenian culture. The food throughout the tour was absolutely delicious. Overall, it was a fantastic experience that we would highly recommend to everyone who wants to spend some time away from the capital city.

I took the option of visiting Sevan lake instead of lavash baking. The tour is overall very good. I particularly appreciate their timely and clear response via WhatsApp prior to and during the tour at good English. The lady tour guide is responsive and polite. The van is clean and I had taken an ideal one-seater on the right side. For lunch, one may choose to eat at a restaurant together with the other tour mates which I did. But now I think that eating on my own at the food court downstairs should be better as I could have more time to explore around and visit the adjacent supermarket. For the scenic spots, they are so nice and I had taken quite some beautiful pictures. It's very windy at some places, so do bring a jacket. The price for the tour is very good too. I have a good time myself.
