Lorenzo was our tour guide. He was really nice and very knowledgeable. Took us to some small local food spots to have fish, focaccia, cookies, wine and pesto. He also showed us some churches and other spots. I wish instead of the fish we could’ve enjoyed some local pizza. The picture of the tour showed pizza and so that is what we were expecting. We’re not seafood enthusiasts, and we had purposely waited to eat on the tour, so that is the only minor complaint we had. Otherwise it was a very good tour.

We had our return flight from Genoa and decided to spend our last day exploring the city so we booked this food tour. Lorenzo was incredibly kind and funny, with a deep historical knowledge of the city. You could tell he genuinely loves Genoa and enjoyed sharing its stories and delicacies with us. We stopped at several places to try delicious Genovese food (despite the heat making it a bit harder to eat) everything we tasted was really delicious. We also went inside some truly beautiful churches and he answered all of our questions with patience. He even made a small detour we requested to the port while we snacked, which was really lovely. Genoa is full of hidden history and even with our limited time we felt like we saw and learned so much thanks to Lorenzo. Highly recommend this tour if you want to experience the city in a short amount of time, with great food and a great guide.
