What To Expect

Pyramids of Giza

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo or in Giza to start your tour with a visit to the Giza Plateau, our guide will give you all information and the story of each of the three pyramids -- Cheops, Kephren and Mykerinus. Though your guide is not permitted to escort you inside the pyramids, you'll have a chance to enter one of the pyramids at an additional cost. You can also experience a camel ride at an additional cost. After that, drive across the plateau to capture wonderful photos of the three pyramids rising from the sands into the Cairo skyline in the background. With a short drive to the other side of the plateau, you'll find yourself standing at the feet of the Sphinx which has been an oracular symbol of Egypt for thousands of years. Also in Giza, you'll have a chance to visit the Solar Boat Museum housing the astonishingly well-preserved funerary boat of Cheops. After that we will have lunch at local restaurant.

Memphis and Sakkara

Then will have the visit to Sakkara where you'll see the oldest pyramid of Egypt's, built in 2650 B.C. Explained by your guide, you'll learn about fascinating history of the renowned Step Pyramid. Here, you'll have free time to walk around. Take your final stop at Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt. Here, see many beautiful artifacts from many of the Egypt's great rulers including the fallen statue of Ramses II. During the tour you will have also time to visit a Papyrus Institute where you'll see how the famous artwork is made. After that drive back to your hotel .

Amazing tour! Our guide Medo was not only very knowledgeable, but also funny and took lots of pictures for us. They were also flexible, since we had to be at the airport in the afternoon. Medo managed time well so we were able to see all the main sites, have lunch, visit a papyrus institute and an essence shop. It was also cheaper than all the others available both on Tripadvisor and on the hotel. Highly recommend!

If you want to see the famous Memphis, Saqqara, Pyramids, and Sphinx without worrying about anything, you will definitely need a guide. From our experience, I will highly recommend Medo. He, together with the driver, picked us up from the hotel, and we went for the amazing trip. We started from Memphis, moving to Saqqara, and finishing the trip at the Pyramides and the Sphinx. During all the trip, Medo was talking about the history of the sights, as well as telling interesting stories and answering loads of questions about the history and everyday life of Egypt. Besides the main sights, you may also visit the aroma-therapy shop, papyrus shop, and the bazaar. In the papyrus shop, they show how they actually make the papyrus, which is exciting. Of course, you may buy the stuff everywhere, if you want :) Thanks, Medo!

I got the travel with and learn from Mahmoud today. This is when the gyide experience really comes in handy for the committed traveler: not only expert in the historical field but insightful to more current conditions. Highly recommended. We started in Memphis and finished at Giza at the Sphinx. In there was lunch and coffee and a lot of talking in the car between locations. Seven hours. A very good day for anyone who wants to see some key ancient Egyptian sights and learn a grest deal about that history.

Tour started promptly at 8.30 and was greated by our lovely tour guide Emy and her driver. Emy made the day incredibly enjoyable, her knowledge and photography skills meant we have life long memories. The day was flexible and she helped me to find a perfect piece of art work for our home!
