What To Expect

Thingvellir National Park

Thingvellir National Park, a gem with immense historical and geological significance. This is where Iceland’s parliament was established in 930 A.D., with thirty ruling chiefs gathering here annually to discuss the island's laws until Danish rule began. It’s also where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet, allowing us to “walk between continents” at this unique location. Adding to the experience, we’ll take a short hike to the picturesque Öxararfoss waterfall, one of Iceland's few human-made waterfalls. The Öxará River was redirected in the 10th century to provide water for parliamentary assemblies.

Much better than expected. Was picked up on time, transport was warm and adequate. Was almost like a small tour as there was only 3 others on the trip. Host was knowledgeable and friendly. We saw so much in one day and we avoided the over busy areas. The lagoon at the end was fantastic, I am so glad we picked this tour over e.g Blue Lagoon. Definitely recommend - perfect day!

Our tour guide, Jnas was brilliant from start to finish! We were lucky to enough to end up with a private tour due to nobody else booking this tour specifically. My friends and I had the most beautiful day, a very memorable experience. We were taken to lots of beautiful spots across Iceland, with cultural history, magical stories and crazy science! Jnas has an immense amount of knowledge about the culture, the land, the politics, the history and the best bars and restaurants which he was more than willing to share. The spa was incredible at sunset. Honestly we couldn’t have wished for a better experience. Very grateful. Thankyou ☺️

Excellent trip prompt pick up opposite hotel just enough time at each place The new Lagoon was lovely with drink and towel would definitely recommend this trip
