Thingvellir National Park
Few locations in the world provide a finer and clearer perspective of this vast geographic activity than Thingvellir National Park, home to one of the most amazing natural wonders in the world: tourists can observe the effects of two moving tectonic plates: the North American and Eurasian ones. The national park is frequently referred to as "The Galapagos of the North" because it is also home to Iceland's largest natural lake and is home to a wide variety of fish and bird species! Thingvellir, the location of the parliament's founding in 930 AD, is deeply ingrained in Icelandic national history. The translation of "Thingvellir" is "Parliament Plains." Because of this, the park is a must-visit location for anybody interested in Icelandic history or culture.

Amazing experience! Branimir was the best tour guide: storytelling, great spots and logistics, extremely kind. It all went well! Highly recommend this tour.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Unforgettable Experience with Troll.is Our experience with Troll.is was beyond amazing—truly unforgettable. But what made it exceptional were the incredible tour guides. They turned an already beautiful trip into something deeply memorable. We did the 2-Day Peninsula Tour, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. On the first day, our guide Iskrem brought such an amazing personality and deep knowledge—not just about Iceland’s history, but also its culture. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does. On the second day, we had Cora—and wow. The road conditions were intense, the weather was no joke, but she handled everything with calm confidence. She literally felt like a superhero navigating Iceland’s wild nature. We felt completely safe the entire time. Then came our 3-Day Tour with Jacob—and honestly, I feel like I gained a friend. The experience was so much fun, and his energy made everything even better. (Although I have to say, Iskrem also became a friend too 😂) For the glacier hike, our guides Edgar and Bea were fantastic. Super warm, welcoming, and informative. They explained everything clearly and made the whole experience feel exciting and safe at the same time. One thing that really stood out—due to weather conditions, we had a last-minute cancellation. But Troll.is handled it perfectly. They rearranged our itinerary smoothly and even provided us with a great hotel. That level of care and professionalism says everything. If you’re still deciding which company to go with—choose Troll.is. You won’t regret it. And honestly, think about it… driving in Iceland can be risky if you’re not experienced with those conditions. It’s absolutely worth investing in your peace of mind and enjoying the best possible experience. Highly, highly recommended.

It was an excellent effort by our tour guide Kola (spelling?) where we were able to tour and cover all planned destinations during a snowy and stormy day. Kola kept us on schedule and provided a wonderful surprise for us to meet the Icelandic horses!

Had a wonderful day trip! I was so happy to see such magnificent scenery. All the attractions mentioned in the itinerary were included, and the schedule was perfectly arranged — not rushed at all, with plenty of time to explore and enjoy each stop. Special thanks to our tour guide, Juliana. She was very professional, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. She shared a lot of interesting information about Iceland, which made the trip even more meaningful. I especially loved the audio guide and the music she personally edited and played at the beginning of the trip — such a lovely and unique touch! Highly recommended!

The guide Juliana was amazing and insightful. The places are breathtaking even in winter tho the wind might actually take your breath away. So don’t forget to be safe and gear up!

Excursion booked by Guide to Iceland. Punctual driver, chatty enough for an Icelander, answering questions! If you are not English-speaking, read well before the descriptions on their website. And when you say, "toilet" (go because it's waiting everywhere), I regret that Asians stick one or two to the windows and don't leave the duet seats to couples. Nobody move... the driver should impose the seats for the seniors. This being so, visits certainly very touristy but interesting, spectacular landscapes, to do once in a lifetime. Good organization, impeccable conduct, lacks a little empathy. The little extra: stop to feed the horses.

The Golden Circle tour is well designed, with a great variety of sites to visit: from breathtaking waterfalls to volcanic craters. It offers a fantastic overview of Iceland’s natural beauty in a single day. The pace is generally well managed, though a few stops can feel a little rushed. At some locations, you may need to choose one walking route instead of exploring the entire area in order to return to the bus on time. That said, the time constraints are understandable since the tour needs to make it back to town in the evening. Although it’s described as an 8-hour tour, expect it to run slightly longer. There’s simply so much to see and explore along the way. Overall, a very worthwhile and enjoyable experience.
