What To Expect
You would book online through my website maxkartautorentals.com and on arrival to Grand Turk you would walk out the main gate of the cruise port center which is about 3-5 minutes walk, you'll see the Golf carts and I'll be there waiting on you to explain the map of the island and any question you might have.

5.00We rent a cart from Martial and Jackson at MaxKart every time we visit Grand Turk and are always so happy with them. You have to understand you're getting a cart that is retired from a golf course, but perfect for cruising around the island. The price is fair and the service is outstanding. Highly recommend.

5.00We had an amazing time! Jackson got us 4 carts for our big group! All the carts were super good. During the week we traveled from one end of the island to the other multiple time with no issues! Highly recommend!!

2.00The golf cart pick up area is the farthest one from the port and made for a long walk which was fine for us physically but for those that aren’t able to walk that distance it may be difficult. It was a rainy and windy day and the golf cart didn’t have a windshield, we were very envious of the tourists that did have a windshield. And last and definitely not least, the golf cart was very difficult to get started, we had to very lightly press on/feather the throttle to get it started and if you let off too quickly it would stall - many times we were in a stressful situation when it stalled in the middle of the road then we couldn’t get it restarted and traffic had to either go around us, stop for us or when traffic was clear for us to go at an intersection we couldn’t get it started in time and had to wait again until traffic cleared and we could try again to get it started. Keep in mind it was not due to lack of experience - my husband and I have years of experience with dirt bikes, ATV’s, snowmobiles and yes even golf carts.

3.00The instructions to find MaxCart were pathetic. No signs anywhere. Other golf cart tours had signs. We ended up asking another tour company where we could kind MaxCart. He pointed to 3 golf carts lined up on a corner with no sign. The person checking us in seemed irritated to have to do her job. The golf cart was rather run down and janky compared to all the others we saw on the island. We do recommend renting a golf cart while on Grand Turk though because it was a fabulous way to see the island! When we attempted to return our golf cart, there was no one around. Someone from another company pointed to the side of the road and told us to "leave it there". We had no choice but to do so, hoping it made it's way back. Again, I highly recommend renting a golf cart while on Grand Turk, but save the hassle and just get one at the cruise port terminal. These guys are everywhere and not difficult to find. Plenty of carts available and no need to reserve ahead of time.

3.00The quality and condition of the golf carts was fair at best. Seem to not work too well. I will say the lady who met us was very very nice. Overall, though I’m not sure I would do it again because frankly, the island is not that interesting.

2.00Hard to find didn’t get directions from anyone. Longer walk than described. Takes time to get there and get the process started. Asked for a two person cart received a 6 person sucked to park, then need to $10 fuel in it. Wasn’t what I was expecting.

3.00These carts are not allowed inside the cruise parking lot. My wife had to walk a lot to get to the cart. People who can’t walk should rent from the cruise company.

2.00Mechanically the golf cart was crap! Picking up and returning is very confusing, and NOT in the gated area of the port. You get what you pay for.
