The Haute Provence offers impressive Canyons, the Gorges du Verdon, dug by the river of the same name. You will discover the huge lake of Sainte Croix and stop in magical places in the heart of nature.
You will enjoy the Grand Canyon of France, along with a visit to the 16th century village Castellane (gateway to the Gorges of the Verdon, nestled at the foot of its famous Roc) and pottery-centric village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie (the Capital of Fayence) and famous lavender fields (June-July).

What To Expect
Gorges du Verdon
On the way to the Ste Croix Lake, you will admire incredible panoramic views. At your request, the driver can stop so you can take photos.
Castellane
You will discover Castellane, a remarkable historical, cultural and sporting heritage. The village is today classified "city of character". It is located in a privileged environment, at the gates of the site of the Gorges du Verdon. Located on Route Napoleon and on the roads of lavender, the old village is also partly surrounded by the ramparts of the XIV century.

4.00The lake Croix was the best part. It’s lots of driving with some nice stops along the way. Only reason why I am rating it a 4 vs 5 is I think the tour should spend 2 hrs minimum at the lake. Our tour guide Sylvia was super nice and enthusiastic.

5.00It’s a very full day with a lot of beautiful stops along the way! JF was very informative and stopped at places that others did not at the request of our tour members. We stayed on track but were able to get a few unexpected views as well. The vans are a little tight and the head rests block the views a little bit for those in the third row, but with so many stops, we were able to catch the most important ones. The roads are full of curves so be ready for that! I wish I had a sports car! The towns are amazing and even with a short amount of time at each one, we got a good feel for them. I’d love to see this tour offered as a two day tour with a sleepover one night but I know that would be difficult. We love renting a kayak and exploring the Gorge. A tour that will be remembered for a lifetime. Thank you JF

5.00This excursion includes a lot of time in a van on winding, hilly roads. My sister and niece both get car sick, so this was something we had to focus on minimizing as much as possible, particularly on this trip.
