I appreciate that you want to get to the canyon as early as possible to avoid lines and crowds, but I wish the Hoover Dam portion was at the start because it was just too hot by 3:00 to be able to walk it with the kids and it was the part I was most looking forward to on this tour. The time at the Canyon was way too long for people who are not hiking or doing the zip line or helicopter. We sat on the benches for a good hour waiting on the bus to come so we could get out of the heat. I also didn’t realize there was only a gift shop at the Eagle stop and not at Guano. Food is decent, and plentiful if you purchase the meal to eat while there, but there is no A/C, so eating hot food in 105 degrees is a bit much. People are right when they say that the West is not the best part of the canyon, but for a day trip, it’s fun and Paulie is a great tour guide who clearly knows the history and pop culture for the area.

Not what I expected The last time we did this tour with this company the itinerary was much more interactive and complete This tour we were picked up at the meeting point, stopped at a gas station briefly, continued on to the Grand Canyon where we were given very little time to enjoy Dropped off at Eagle Point for 1 hr Had to purchase skywalk, I was under the impression it was included as per the description of the tour Was told by staff you could go out in skywalk as often as you wanted for 15 minutes at a time with the ticket but the second time we tried, the ticket was invalid and we were told it was not a “full access” ticket We had to meet the group at 10:30 Stood around in the sweltering heat waiting for everyone to gather just to find out we had an optional 20 minute walking tour with the guide We were not interested in this so we waited around again for 30 minutes when we could have spent more time at Eagle Point or we could have continued on to Guano Point but were told to wait for everyone to take the shuttle We arrived at Guano Point at 11:30 and were told to meet the bus at 12:30 for departure to Hoover Dam Not much time to eat and enjoy Guano Point Again waited in the sweltering heat for our entire group to gather and waited another 20 minutes on the bus to depart as 2 from our group were late So many restrictions at Eagle Point and time limits by the guide at both areas We left by 1:10 At 2:30 we were told to take a photo of the Hoover Dam as we whizzed by on the bus over the bridge I was happy to hear we were stopping at Hoover Dam in hopes this tour could be salvageable however we ended up stopping in a parking lot at the bridge and walking to the middle of the bridge to take a photo of the dam This was terrible as the windy was insane and the traffic flying by was absolutely terrifying - how can this be safe?! What a waste On this tour previously, we were taken right to the dam, drove across, got out for some photo opportunities - a much more interactive and interesting stop The guide played out dated DVDs about the dam in the bus as well as a couple of other outdated promotional videos We arrived back in Vegas at 4:30 We spent most of the tour driving or standing around waiting Out of a 10 hour tour there was 1 hour at Eagle Point and 1 hour at Guano Point If I would have been given a more accurate description of this tour I would have picked another option We couldn’t figure out if the guide liked his job or if being on the tour was a complete inconvenience to him I would not recommend this tour I didn’t think it was possible to be disappointed seeing the Grand Canyon
