• Fun and instructive walking tour in Victoria

  Our tour with Jayne was both lots of fun and very instructive. She is well versed on the history of the City and region and her stories where full of anecdotes and pictures which made it very interesting. We appreciated the references to the Aboriginal peoples which help us understand the dynamics of the reconciliation efforts of the Gouvernement. There was both time to chat and admire the beautiful city of Victoria! Overall a worthwhile and recommended tour.

  Very informative and a great overview of areas in Victoria and harbor area. Jane was very knowledgeable and friendly. She just needs to speak much louder.

  Reilly made the walking tour such a great experience for someone who had never been to Victoria before. She’s super knowledgeable, friendly and overall makes the whole tour an amazing time. 10/10 recommend and hopefully anyone gets lucky getting paired up with her for a tour!

  Viator lists this as a three hour tour. The tour guide said it was a little over two hours. I pointed out the sheet that said it was 3 hours and she said, well sometimes we go to 2 1/2 hours. We were unimpressed with our guide. She gave very little history and when we asked why they were closing the street, she said it was a police appreciation event. She didn't tell us that it was a parade and we missed it. She could have done her tour in a different order so we could have seen it. Overall, I would not recommend this tour with this guide.

  Not as expected. Guide was pretty poor. Not a lot of history. Didn't even tell us about the parade that happened while we were walking around, so we missed it. Not loud enough most of the time. I wouldn't do it again.

  Had a very nice morning with our tour guide, Luis, who gave us a good tour of Victoria. Highly recommend and he even helped us chase and flag a taxi down for us at the end.

  We had a fantastic evening tour with Joe round Victoria. His passion for the city was obvious. He had the local knowledge you’d hope for from a local but also lots of historical info. Great evening tour

  Joe Cheng, has given us a special bike ride of 3 +1 hours in Victoria. This trip exceeded our expectations. We have visited all the highlights at a relaxed pace, explained with insite information and even with images on the tablet. Thank you Joe for this excellent bike ride. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

  This tour was exactly as described on the Toonie Tours website — the amount of time and the area we expected to see. Our guide, Luis, was informative and enthusiastic about Victoria’s and the island’s history, and had fun tidbits about the historical figures and buildings. Besides the history, he also gave us good ideas on what to see further on our own in the area we walked. It made it easy to select our lunch place, some shopping, and buildings to look at more closely.

  An excellent trip with Joe, he gave us so much information which really brought the city alive. I enjoyed having a nose inside the Fairmount hotel ( the Empress) which I wouldn’t have done on my own. Thank you.
