Very efficient and well organised tour. Solo tours come with a premium. But I did feel as though I got value for money.Great tour guide who knew his stuff and gave me a good input to life in Beijing. Very friendly tour guide. Felt as though I learned a lot in a short period of time.

  • Discovering the Non-Touristic section of the Great Wall

We had a fantastic layover tour to discover the really off-the-beaten path section of the Great Wall of China! Our guide Herbie took us to the Jinshanling section, which is the farthest from Beijing and least visited portion of the Wall and it was really worth it! There were very few people around us and it was incredible to have entire sections of the Wall almost all for us. It made for some great photo opportunities and Herbie went above and beyond to make sure we left with some unforgettable memories. We really enjoyed Herbie's company - he was friendly, attentive and had a lot of stories and information to share. We were able to spend three hours walking on the Wall, but he still made sure we would get back on time to take our next flight without having to rush. If you have a few hours to spare in Beijing and want to check the Great Wall, we'd definitely recommend going to the Jinshanling section and get Herbie as a guide!

  • Amazing private tour to Jinshanling Great Wall

Had an absolutely amazing time with Herbie and his colleague visiting the Jinshanling section of the Great Wall. Herbie picked us up spot on time from the airport at 7.30 am, ready with water. We then got picked up by his colleague in an amazingly comfortable big van to go to Jinshanling - about a 2 hour drive from Beijing airport. This was just enough time to listen to Herbie’s stories on the history of the Great Wall, he is very, very knowledgeable and has a great way of passing on this knowledge. The Wall was amazing, hardly any other people. We did a 6 km walk, about 3 km on the wall with 15 watch towers and then returned through some lovely Forrest back to the car. We then had a lovely lunch in one of the traditional restaurants before being dropped off at the hotel at the airport. It was an amazing tour, just Herbie and my family. Felt very relaxed and we had a great time. We will be doing the city tour in our way back where we again will have 21 hours layover. Can’t wait to see you again Herbie and listen to your great stories on the history of Beijing and Chinese ways. It was money very well spent! Highly recommend it!
