What To Expect
Monastiraki
Lively Monastiraki is known for iconic landmarks including the ruins of Hadrian’s Library, the Ancient Agora and the rebuilt Stoa of Attalos, with a museum exhibiting Athenian artifacts. Monastiraki Flea Market is a jumble of shops selling artisanal soaps, handmade sandals and souvenir T-shirts. The surrounding streets are crammed with traditional tavernas and restaurants, many with Acropolis views.
Aiolou Street is a street in downtown Athens, the Greek capital. It is named after Aeolus, the god of winds in Greek mythology

5.00Wonderful walking tour with Tonia to sample tons of amazing food! We’ve enjoyed food tours across the world and this one was one of the best! Tonia was so informative, personable, attuned to the group’s needs (we had a range of ages from 8 years to 75), and such a kind person. We learned a lot, had some laughs, and left stuffed. 5.00Alexandra was wonderful- knowledgeable and obviously well-liked by fellow guides and restaurant/tavern staff. We were surprised by the quantity of food/drinks we tasted! Everything was fresh and served with love. When they say don’t eat 3 hours before, they aren’t kidding! Highly recommend for a taste of Athens without the full meal commitment.

5.00This is a MUST DO TOUR if coming to Athens. Our tour guide, Peter, took us on an amazing journey of Greek food and Greek history. Peter did such a terrific job. This was one of the best tours we have ever done. When other reviews say “come hungry”, they aren’t joking. So much wonderful food.

5.00My wife, daughter and I just finished the walking tour with Peggy and had an incredibly fun time. It ended up being just the three of us and we found Peggy to be an excellent guide who was informative, friendly and made the tour a perfect experience. We had way more food than we could eat and learned a lot about the area, the food and the culture. We highly recommend the tour and Peggy as the tour guide!
