Simatai Great Wall is located in Miyun County which is 120 kilometers from Beijing. It is the only section of the Great Wall that has preserved in the original Ming Dynasty architecture (1368-1644). A small water town is built at the foot of Great Wall, in a traditional style of Chinese small town, offers accommodation and foods in local way.
Accommodation is available at an optional cost.

Gubei Water Town
First, you will visit the Gubei Water Town, which is located far away from the outside busy world - Beijing. After an authentic Chinese lunch and a break, you will continue your trip to the Simatai Great Wall in Miyun County(120 kilometers from Beijing). It is the only section of the Great Wall that has preserved the original Ming Dynasty architecture. You tour guide will take you through the most beautiful and breathtaking Great Wall along the way.
Simatai Great Wall
Simatai Great Wall was first constructed in the 6th century and later rebuilt by General Qi Jiguang of the Ming Dynasty. This section is 5.4 kilometers in length and has 35 beacon towers and the steepness of the wall is the distinctive features of Simatai. In 1987 Simatai Great Wall was enlisted into UNESCO Heritage Sites. The most fantastic part of this Great Wall tour is taking you back in time to the golden ages of imperial China. You surely will learn some interesting history about Ming Dynasty.

Group tour has been a dedicated private tour for two with a driver and an a very nice English speaking lady guide.
We selected the next day return option to enjoy both peacefull Gubei Water Town and a morning treck on the Great Wall.
