During this long-lasting and engaging group tour first visit is foreseen at the majestic 10th century monastery Haghpat. On your next stop visit Zarni-Parni cave castle complex in a forest canyon with a magnificent view of the Kayan fortress and nice restaurant. After lunch visit magnificent Akhtala monastery, comprised of three churches, located in the territory of the eponymous fortress. Visit Aramyants Castle, one of the jewels of Swiss architecture in Armenia. And last you are going to see the Sanahin monastery. Both Haghpat and Sanahin are included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List and are considered as "gems" of Lori provice.

Haghpat Monastery
Situated not far from Sanahin, Haghpat monastery has its significant place in the historical and cultural life of Armenia. It was built during the reign of king Ashot Bagratuni. Numerous valuable manuscripts and miniature paintings have been produced in the scriptorium of Haghpat for many centuries. In the 18th century the famous Armenian bard Sayat-Nova u sed to live and create in this monastery. The belfry with its unique architectural composition is of stunning interest. The site is included in UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List.

5.00This was an exceptional, insightful and very fun tour of some of Armenia’s most beautiful, historic monasteries in the majestic Lori region. Our guide, Marine, was so well-versed in English and spoke it fluently, which made the information easy to follow and digest. You can tell Marine is super knowledgeable and passionate about her job; she’s a phenomenal tour guide and a huge reason why I’ll continue to book with Huyr. She and the driver, Levon, made a great team on this tour. Levon is a wonderful driver, very kind and welcoming. He’s an expert at navigating tricky and winding roads to ensure a smooth journey. I really enjoyed the tour. At first, I was worried about the length, but the time went by so far. I would highly recommend everyone book this trip!

5.00Our guide (Hyke?) was absolutely impressive — he speaks fluently in three languages, including English, which is not easy to find in Armenia. He was very knowledgeable and shared so many interesting facts and insights throughout the tour. The trip was well organized, and we visited many beautiful places. Due to some issues on the road, we had to skip two planned stops, but they were replaced with great alternatives, so the experience still felt complete. The images and views along the way were wonderful.
