The tour is suitable to all abilities - because I only take groups of up to 6 people, it can be tailored to your interests and abilities. For example, if you're an intrepid explorer and keen cyclist we can spend more time up in the hills and less in the towns. Or if you just want to relax and enjoy food and drink, we can keep the pace nice and easy and spend more time at Wilde Irish Chocolates, and/or the East Clare Community Cooperative. If you want to take it easy and admire the views we can do that too! And for those looking for retail therapy, our panniers will have room for any woollen goods you might want to purchase at McKernan's Woollen Mills.

Lough Derg
See beautiful views of Lough Derg and the Slieve Bearnagh Mountain Range as we cycle up through the hills and back along the lake shore. We can stop as often as you like to admire the views, or can press on and clock up the miles if you prefer that.
Tuamgraney
Visit Tuamgraney, a picturesque and historic market town. Here, you can view St Cronan's Church, which dates back to the 7th century and is the oldest church still in regular use in Ireland. You can also visit McKernan's Woollen Mill and/or Wilde Irish Chocolates (where you can make your own chocolate bar or enjoy a coffee or hot chocolate).

Rob was super helpful. First, getting us fitted out and on our way. Very patient. Then when some riders decided to stop early, Rob came to collect them along the route and then met the rest of us at the end point. Bikes and gear were first rate. Only downside was the route itself, along the banks of Lough Derg. Few good views because of hedge rows and homes, and heavy traffic whizzing by the bike path, even on a Sunday.

The best way to see some of the hidden gems of the Lough Derg area. Rob is a great tour guide who has built unique routes allowing you to really go off the beaten path on roads that are scary to drive on, but amazing for an e bike. 10/10 experience.

My guide was very friendly and very informative about the area we rode in. The bikes were great and easy to use and the trails were reasonably easy and the views were fantastic.

We hired these eBikes from Robert who was such a nice man! He dropped them off exactly when he said he would. We did a self guided route from Killaloe around the surrounding lanes and up into the hills on the most beautiful sunny day. The views are amazing and the lanes so quiet we met only about 3 or 4 cars the whole day. The bikes are the best we've ever hired and Robert made sure we had the right equipment and seat height. A really comfortable ride which allowed us to go much further than we thought we could cope with as two "oldies!" Didn't want the day to end but end it did. Robert collected the bikes promptly and we wished we were staying longer as we would have done one of Robert's guided tours to see some of his favourite routes. Thank you Robert and if anyone out there is wondering whether to hire these bikes - go for it ! You won't be disappointed and you'll want to do it all over again.

The bike was very easy to use. It was in great shape and no trouble at all to get around on. Rob was informative about the area and was able to help me look for some local areas that I was interested in doing research on some of my ancestors.

I did the 2 hour "Intro to ebiking" at Garrykennedy. I only rediscovered recently how much I love cycling after an ebiking experience in another city. I have a bad back, and for me, the ebike really, really helps. You are still peddling, but very little strain. If you want to cycle more on your own, you can switch the ebike mode off. I love ebikes. Rob's bikes are also good quality. The tour itself was very scenic. I will definitely be back for another tour.

We had a lovely day out with Lough Derg Ebike Tours! Rob is very knowledgeable about the area and the GPS was easy to use (even for me who gets lost quite easily) The countryside is beautiful and the bikes are super easy to use. I also found them quite light which I didn't expect with Ebikes. Can highly recommended booking a tour for a great way to explore Ireland.
