Good overview of the penguins and how the nature park was run followed by a great experience to seeing over a 100 blue penguins leave the water and travel to their nesting areas. This all happened after dark but lighting worked well to help us share in the experience

Our family highly recommend this tour. Guide Leon's introduction was informative and engaging. As we were all walking down towards the viewing platform, guide Jono informed us he could already see the first penguin "raft" making their way ashore, earlier than expected, but we were there in time to witness it, and he assured us others would follow later - which they did! We were fortunate enough to see approximately 100 penguins. Viewing from the elevated platform offers awesome viewing opportunities and close proximity to the penguins. Once they arrived on the beach, the penguins made their way up "penguin highway" and several surrounded the platform. It was a privilege taking this tour, please book if you are able to, your heart will melt ... the sights and sounds are fabulous and the memories will last a lifetime. Many thanks to everyone at Blue Penguins Pukekura for this wonderful experience and for your incredible conservation work.
