See up to 200 blue penguins returning from sea in the evening! (Generally more penguins are seen over the spring/summer than our autumn or winter months, but we guarantee to see penguins every night!! In the non-breeding months of March to August we often see 20-50 birds each night, however on rare occasions we might see fewer than 10 birds). Extremely close viewing of these birds. Although it was raining, seeing wild little blue penguins was well worth it. There was an ongoing commentary while watching the little blue penguins, and those who are eager to learn could approach the guide to ask questions.

Seeing the penguins coming home was truly amazing. Despite the rain, the guide was fun and knowledgeable. We all enjoyed it a lot

We saw many penguins. The overview part in the beginning was excellent, especially the talk about the Polynesian migration.

Up close experience of cute penguins returning to their nests. Tour was fully booked, 75 people, but still plenty of room on viewing platform. Well marshalled by staff. Also saw huge sealing on the beach as bonus.

The guides were super kind and excited for the penguins and for us to see them. They served us biscuits and had options for warm drinks. Made the waiting all the worth it. Very informative and a wonderful tour. They get so close to you that you can't help but take as many pictures as you can. We got to see babies and their parents make their way back to their homes across the sand. We even saw a sea lion further down the way. The penguins were not in any danger. Loved the trip. Beautiful sights to see and a wonderful sunset to watch as well.
