What To Expect
IMPORTANT: Here at Whistler Year-Round Fishing Inc. we practice catch & release for ALL trips. Under NO exceptions do we keep fish to bring home to eat. Minimum age requirement of 10 years old. All guests must weigh between 80-250 lbs (36-113 kgs) due to limited equipment at this time. A guided fishing trip is a great way to experience everything beautiful Whistler has to offer; wildlife, glaciers, rain forests and of course...wild fish. For all our trips we put you in a pair of stylish waders and boots and walk along lakes, creek mouths and rivers in pursuit of wild trout & salmon. Depending on the time of year, our guide will select a water body that will ensure the highest probability of putting you on fish.

5.00What an amazing experience!!! We went out early in the morning and our guide had everything prepared for us. My dad doesn’t have the best vision and our guide adapted to him and made it a wonderful experience. Super beginner friendly but our guide was very knowledgeable and knew what he was doing and the best places to go. BOOK IT!!

5.00My husband, 17 year-old son and I had a wonderful evening fly fishing experience with our guide. Our previous experience with fly fishing was limited, and we learned enough during our trip that we all caught beautiful rainbows. Our guide drove us to a beautiful stretch of river, and we hiked a short way in to a magical spot. It was like hanging out with your favorite country cousin, having a great time in nature. Five stars plus!

5.00Cole was great! My 14 year old son and I went and it was wonderful. We both caught fish and learned techniques. Super convenient. We were picked up at our hotel, they had all the gear, all we had to do was show up. I’ve never fished before. There was some amount of trekking to get to the fishing area fyi. Not a big deal but be aware it wasn’t just showing up at a lake and fishing. Highly recommend. Beautiful scenery too.

5.00My buddy and I went out with Cole. We were on the river in <15 min and it was beautiful. We had an active fish and each caught quite a few rainbows. They were small but fun and it was not a stocked river. Cole had great tips and the day was beautiful. The waders were great and sized well and the tackle was great. Cole kept us roaring through different flies for more opportunities. Highly recommend.

5.00I booked the 3 hour fishing trip for my husband and son. They has a fantastic afternoon catching trout in a scenic stream very close to downtown Whistler. Their guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend. We will book again next time we visit BC. Thanks again!!

5.00From the time of our booking up through our adventure, Matthew from Year Round Fishing was very communicative while providing all of the details and forms required for our experience. Although my son and I had no experience with fly fishing our guide Dawson was great and provided easy to follow pointers on what to do. The location and setting was perfect, my son ended up catching several trout although a couple did get away as he was close to hauling them in. I had a few bites but no luck with hooking any. Despite myself not catching anything, the experience and location was awesome and our guide Dawson made the experience a whole lot better.
