Your adventure begins with a stop at the Visitor Center where you will learn how our Apollo astronauts used this rugged terrain to prepare for their 1969 moon landing.
Explore the monolith's at North Crater Flow, one of the Monument's youngest lava flow areas. Stroll through Devils Orchard for an upfront view of the strange features of this volcanic "island" and learn about our impact on this delicate landscape and the preservation efforts underway to save it.
Hike up Inferno Cone for a bird's eye view of the fissures of the Great Rift and Big Cinder Butte, one of the world's largest known basaltic cinder cones. Take a break for lunch at the Cave Area just before you venture into an ancient lava tube at Indian Tunnel.
Craters of the Moon NM abounds with flora and fauna appearing in different stages throughout the year, so be on the lookout for some of the unique plants and animals that call this beautiful place home!

This exceeded expectations. If you enjoy geology, history and natural wonders, this tour will be enjoyed. Our tour guide was professional in every way. Prompt, informed, courteous, safety minded, responsive and energetic all describe our guide. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. Our visit was part of an eight day stay. We had a tour with Big Green Adventure Tours earlier in our stay and did not hesitate with a second tour with them. For the tour: sunscreen, hat, GOOD walking shoes and water. If you plan on entering Indian Cave (lava tube), bring gloves and wear clothes (and shoes) that have never been in a cave before. This is a requirement for the protection of the bats living in the cave.

This trip almost didn't happen, but Gabrielle made it a reality, and I'm so glad she did! Craters of the Moon is a truly unique place; there's nothing else like it. Gabrielle was an incredible guide, showing us a variety of trails so we felt like we experienced everything the park has to offer. She makes sure no one gets left behind and accommodates all skill levels, so whatever your limits are, you can be sure you'll have a great time.

You feel like you are on another planet as you look at the topography. So cool. Amazing tunnels. Delicate flowers surrounding the area. Gabrielle made this tour so much more special with all of her knowledge.

My dad and I booked three tours with Big Green Adventure Tours, and each one was better than the last! Gabrielle was our driver and guide, and she did an amazing job navigating everything from city streets to scenic overlooks to even lava tubes. She struck the perfect balance between being a great conversationalist and always making sure we were comfortable and safe. Her knowledge and guidance at each site really made the experience unforgettable. We had such a wonderful time and would 100% recommend Big Green Adventure Tours to anyone visiting Twin Falls. If you want to see the area in the best way possible, this is the company to go with!

Gabrielle's team provided a fantastic tour of the Valley of the Crater of the Moon National Monument. As soon as we booked the tour, we had excellent communication about what to expect. On the day of the tour, she laid out clearly how our day would play out. She shared historical insights, had knowledge of plants, birds and the geography and formation of the area. She calibrated the tour to fit our abilities . We will use her again for sure!

You leave at 7am, few stops along the way. You get their early before the rush. Most hikes are very easy. Our group had a variety of skills. Mine as the lowest. I waited due to my knees. The view while was waiting was spectacular. Worth the time and money. She is very knowledgeable. Learn things you would not know yours.

Great tour to Craters of the Moon which Gabriella made very interesting. We stopped at the visitor centre and a couple of the short walks. Then we went into a lava tube which was amazing. Lunch was very good.

Gabrielle is very friendly and knowledgeable. She has a likable kindness and sense of humor. She genuinely cares that her guests have a great experience. I wasn't feeling well in the morning because of lack of sleep and she noticed and offered some liquid IV. It helped so much! The tour was so helpful in getting to the best sights to see without having to wander around wondering what would be the best thing to see in such a short amount of time. She also answered all of our questions and gave us things to notice and understand while we were on tour. Sometimes when you go somewhere on your own it is easy to just walk by things and not notice. On tour, we were able to see and notice a lot more than we would have on our own, which made the experience that much better.
