River Runner Adventures is Zambian owned and operated. Our rafting trips run the Zambezi rapids just below Victoria Falls. Our team provides a river trip with local knowledge and history of the Zambezi. There are cultural encounters included as we pass through local villages to access the river.
We like to provide the best experience on the river and will customize the trip to the traveller's wishes as best we can. This may include (as the season permits), adding fishing, viewing the Falls from below, photography opportunities, etc.

Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
We can accommodate dietary restrictions such as food allergies, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.
Important Note: We only serve alcoholic beverages for travelers 21 years old and above. Minor travellers under 21 years old will be served non-alcoholic beverages.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
What To Expect
Full day White Water Rafting trip: Pick up and shuttle to the Zambezi river in Botoka Gorge below Victoria Falls. Hike down into the gorge where you gear up and go over the safety briefing. Raft down the river through rapids and stop partway for snacks. At the end of the run, there is a hike back up to the top of the gorge where there is lunch provided with drinks. Our shuttle will then take travellers back to their chosen location within town.

5.00Had a great time rafting. Only company running trips at that level. 1 raft and two safety kayakers. I knew exactly what to expect. Raft guide was knowledgeable and put us exactly where we needed to be in the river. At that level... swimming would not be safe. As a paddler... I was very impressed with the entire experience and professionalism. Hike in and out was amazing. Hiking out I was a bit afraid of heights... and the guys stayed with me encouraging me to keep going. There was beer and tacos at the end... and a really cool viewing spot. I highly suggest for both rafting and kayaking.

5.00Excellent rafting trip with Jonathan s team the only agency run by a Zambian who lives between Zambia and Canada I recommend. Team on pro who puts confidence super material and incredible memories of downhill type II III and even IV! The photos are top too

5.00I had the best trip with Jonathan and River Runner Adventures. I signed up last minute the evening before and was surprised with how lovely the trip was. We were picked up and had lunch by the river. While at lunch, I asked if the cooler had any diet sodas and unfortunately there weren’t any. However, when I was picked up from the river, I had two beers and a diet soda ready for me. They were attentive and gave me the best experience, I highly recommend this company and the experience.

From start to finish, we felt completely safe and looked after, which made the whole adventure even more enjoyable. We did swimming under the falls and white-water rafting, and wow — what an unforgettable day! 💦🚣🏾♀️ The activities seem intense when you see them in pictures, but with their guidance and support it was actually so fun and surprisingly easy to enjoy every moment. 5.00A fantastic experience on the Zambezi river, wouldn't have done it with anyone else. Watching another group flip twice, while we stayed afloat the whole way through. Rough waters but with an excellent guide it seemed smooth sailing. Thanks Jonathan and the team for an amazing experience I will not forget too soon.

5.00An unforgettable experience on the Zambezi! 🌊🔥 I’ve had the chance to go rafting in several places around the world, but nothing compares to River Adventure on the Zambezi. It is simply one of the greatest and most beautiful experiences of my life. Our guide, Alex, is a true river god — a modern Poseidon. It inspires total confidence: it protects, it guides, it anticipates. He knows the river as if it were in his blood. His energy, his stories, his way of managing each rapid, each team, each emotion... it is pure art. You feel that he loves what he does deeply, and that changes everything. The rapids of Zambezi are among the Top 3 in the world, and we understand why! Strong sensations, magnificent landscapes, adrenaline, laughter and suspended moments: everything is there. But beyond the descent, it is a human adventure that marks forever. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Alex, for his kindness, generosity, and all his team — Jeremy, Jonathan, and everyone else. 5.00Crew is so nice and supportive and suuuuper profesional. Food, snucks aaand of course crazy rapids on the might Zambezi river make it something I will remember for whole life. It can’t be explained how integrating for me and my friends this experience was. One of the best adventures I ever had. Do I need to mention that sights from the bottom of river are breath taking?
Highly competent, hilarious team made for a fantastic adventure. Hope to do it again soon!
