I am Justine PONCET, founder of SUR LES SENTIERS DE L'OENOTOURISME.
I am your local Guide, who knows the region well and will know all along the way how to tell you about the history, estates, wines and secrets of the Rhone Valley.
You will make stops to enjoy the magnificent views from the coasts!
You will discover the Syrah and Viognier grape variety as well as Marsanne and Roussanne.
You will enjoy exceptional white wines and red wines.
You will discover the most prestigious wines of the Rhone Valley such as AOP Côte-Rôtie, Hermitage or Condrieu.
I drive you in my luxury vehicle and everything is planned so that you just go to enjoy your half day with us.
I am here to share my knowledge, answer all your questions and accompany you so that you spend an unforgettable half day.

What To Expect
Condrieu
You will pass through several villages in the Rhône Valley on the way. We will stop to admire the vines planted in the very steep slopes.
Chavanay
We will make our first stop near the village of Chavanay for a first tasting in a wine estate. Tasting between 4 and 6 wines.

5.00It is very detailed about wine. Ÿou are tòlð about the different appellations. There is a talk òn the soils their content, they also.talk about climate change. And what years have been good and what years bad. They discuss what happened to cause the bad year and the good year

5.00Justine was amazing! She was extremely knowledgeable about this wine region and provided an excellent overview of the region. The 2 wineries we visited were very different, both with excellent wines. A nice added touch was the fromage and charcuterie trays with tasty regional cheeses & charcuterie. If you want to take an intimate wine tour of Northern Rhône Valley you should definitely go with Justine!

5.00Justine was amazing on the tour! Telling us of the history and pointing out sites along the way. Both of the tastings were excellent, I think I liked the second one the best and view of the vineyard was amazing!! The owner guided us through the tasting with a lot of care. Justine added to explaining the soil requirements to grow the grapes which I had no idea of.

5.00Book this tour now before it fills up! Our 4 hours with Justine were the highlight of our time in Lyon. She was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and shared so much information with us about wine production in the area. The small number allowed her the flexibility to really give each person a unique experience highlighting their interests. She took us to an amazing photo spot and showed us small production wineries (that do not ship so we left with some bottles to fly home!). We would absolutely spend time with Justine again and recommend her to anyone looking to learn more about wine in the Northern Rhone Valley.

5.00This guided tour and wine tasting in the Northern Rhone Valley was spectacular. Justine, owner and tour guide of SUR LES SENTIERS DE L'OENOTOURISME, was an outstanding, knowledgable, professional and compassionate person. She made us all feel at home immediately. Several of the people on the tour I was on had a moderate amount of knowlege , haveing just toured the vineyards in the south of France. Justine told the story of the Northern Rhone Valley vineyards beginning when the Romans built the first vineyard, the remains of that building that processed the grapes into wine still stands and there are grapes growing where they did during the time the Roman's were in the valley, they were the first. My experience could not have been better and learned so much about the what and why the Rhone Valley wines are so outstanding. I can't thank Justine enough for a perfect afternoon. I am so glad I went on this tour.
