  We did a day tour with Farouk to the pyramids and sphinx. He did a great job explaining everything and we learned so much about Egypt. Really enjoyed our tour and then he helped us arrange a tour in Luxor which was excellent as well! Would highly recommend!

  This is the best tour guide experience I have ever had. Farouk is friendly, well connected and knowledgeable. He took us to trusted local shops and restaurants to give us the true Cairo experience. Walking through town and museums other guides would stop just to tell us how great Farouk is. Would definitely recommend.

  We had an absolutely incredible experience with this tour guide and cannot recommend him highly enough. From start to finish, he was thoughtful, timely, trustworthy, and extraordinarily knowledgeable. When my husband and I arrived at the Cairo airport several hours before the rest of our group, he immediately arranged for a private car to pick us up so we could go to the hotel and rest rather than wait at the airport. Although we initially planned to stay behind for the others, he assured us that he would take excellent care of the rest of our group—and he absolutely did. During our trip, I shared with him that my husband’s father had passed away a few months earlier, which prevented us from celebrating our wedding anniversary. Without hesitation, he thoughtfully contacted the hotel on our behalf and arranged special accommodations to make our stay truly memorable. That gesture alone meant so much to us. He guided us through the museums with impeccable knowledge of Egypt’s history, bringing each site to life with depth, passion, and clarity. For every excursion we were interested in, he was well connected and seamlessly handled all reservations and logistics. He remained with us throughout all excursions and consistently ensured our comfort and safety. Through his guidance, we truly fell in love with Egypt—its rich culture, incredible history, and delicious food. He connected us to the people and the culture in a way that felt authentic and refreshing. Everywhere we went, people knew him well, greeted him warmly, and spoke highly of him, which further reinforced how respected and admired he is. We look forward to returning to Cairo one day, and without question, we will only do so if he is available to be our tour guide again. We recommend his services to everyone without reservation.

  I am a person with a disability who also traveled with others who had various disabilities. The entire trip was very enjoyable and we were able to see the beauty that Giza had to offer. He made sure that the sites that we saw were accessible by wheelchair and helped us make sure that everything went smoothly. He made sure that the itinerary was what we wanted to see. Educational and entertaining!

  My wife/I met King Farouk during a trip to Cairo in 2019. In planning that trip, we had booked a handful of private tours and met him on one of the early excursions. And once we spent time with Farouk, we cancelled all our bookings with other guides/companies (previously booked in Viator) and did the rest of our excursions with Farouk. Farouk is fun, articulate, knowledgeable about his craft, and an expert on Egypt. He strives to ensure that every person in the group gets exactly what they want out of each day with him. He is a great blend of knowledge (as a historian) and fun (as a tour guide), avoiding a focus on only one or the other. The result – an enjoyable, educational experience. Fast forward, and last year my wife/I decided to take our kids to Egypt in 2025 based on the extraordinary time we had during our first trip. So, I reached out to Farouk about eleven (11) months in advance and let him know we were coming back and asked him to block the time and plan everything for us in two cities – Luxor and Cairo. I didn’t know if he’d respond or even remember me, but he responded immediately and remembered me!! I shared my thoughts on the “must do” list and we collaborated on/off to plan all the details/specifics over the time leading up to the trip. He handled everything from the time we landed in Egypt to the time we left Egypt. This included everything from airport transports to the hotel and guidance on what to do with downtime to all our excursions and a good mix of “local” experiences (restaurants, juices, etc. – at our request). We also had a day with his wife, and she was equally as dynamic and impressive. They were both able to be flexible from day-to-day and shift and adjust based on “the group” for a variety of items like: 1) ending the day earlier, 2) starting later, 3) adding additional stops (e.g. shopping for something specific), 4) more or less time at a particular location, 5) etc. (bringing five (5) people together and satisfying all of them isn’t simple). I will close with two items: 1) Our kids had the experience of a lifetime and considered this trip to be a significant life event – and they cite Farouk as one of the best parts of the trip. 2) When I go to Egypt next, in a week, or twenty (20) years from now, Farouk is my man. I know I can tell him – show me Cairo, I’d like to do something unique, my wife loves to shop, my kids want an “Egypt hoodie”, or anything else, and he will simply make it happen. Stop looking and start booking – it doesn’t get better than King Farouk.

  Farouk was the best guide I could ask for. We had great conversation the entire time, and he taught me so much about Egypt and Egyptian culture while taking me to the pyramids, the civilization museum, and the souks. He made me feel so comfortable, and I felt that I could talk with him for hours. I HIGHLY recommend Farouk if you are looking for a guide around Egypt as he is knowledgeable in many areas and makes the guide around Egypt memorable. Thank you Farouk for a wonderful time!
