Our tour included the history of Guayaquil, a stop at Parque Historico de Guayaquil - animal sanctuary, viewed the old part of town, learned about the cacao trees, its fruit, the beans and saw how chocolate was made. Yamil treated us to an iced chocolate cappuccino, a taste of pure chocolate with a touch of rum and cinnamon in it, and a traditional home cooked lunch. Yamil also provided us with a glass of juice squeezed from the sweet flesh around the cacao bean and his own cappuccino made with coffee, milk and crushed cacao beans. It was all absolutely delicious. We left feeling like family instead of strangers. I would highly recommend any tour Yamil offers.

Nice mix of city and country. The cacao plantation was great. We even made our own chocolate bars from beans we picked.

Our itinerary had to be changed due to the extreme winter weather out at cacao farm—Yamil notified us ahead of time and we approved of his modifications. We ended up have a “half-day about town” in Guayaquil that was enjoyed even more thoroughly because of our guide’s thoughtful combining of experiences to make the most of a different day than the original booking. I am quite sure that my friends and I had the best possible day we could have with Yamil’s care and focus on providing an exceptional short visit!

This tour is unforgettable, the personalized attention to every detail, and the friendliness of Yamil and Simon make it a unique explanation. The explanation of the Cocoa process and being able to be a part of it is an experience that my husband and I take in our hearts. The Historical Park is also a charm. Contact with nature and going back to colonial Guayaquil is wonderful. We are more than satisfied with this experience. Thank you very much Yamil and Simon

Excellent tour and experience to share with friends. The guides very available and prepared; we learned a lot about Churute and saw several animals. We loved the visit to the estate; everyone very friendly, clear and entertaining explanation about the process of transforming cocoa into chocolate. Exquisite food. Highly recommended!
