What To Expect
Hop aboard a boat to explore the Samara Beach area on this guided tour. Home to bottlenose and spotted dolphins, the clear waters are also a migratory route for humpback whales that are heading south during certain times of the year. After the dolphin sighting, explore the underwater sea life on your own with snorkelling gear. The tour is suitable for all ages and skill levels You might be able to see whales between August and November, and beginning January. Snacks and beverages such as water and juices are provided. Hotel pickup and drop-off is included

5.00With two couples we had a great boat tour yesterday. The nice crew picked us up at the hotel outside of Samara and took fantastic care of us overall. The boat wobbled relatively little, when driving you definitely get shaken more here in Costa Rica. Dolphins, turtles and fish have presented us with nature. An activity I would do again at any time. If you stay in the region for several days, you could also participate twice to increase the chance for further animal sightings.

5.00We have seen many dolphins very closely and some turtles. It was beautiful. Snorkelling at the end was our family favorite. We were with two children 4 and 5 years old:)

5.00What a beautiful day! This trick was above my expectations. We saw many dolphins that stayed to play near the boat at least 20 minutes! Snorkeling equipment was of good quality The captain and 3 other guides were very kind and attentive. Thank you for giving my family this wonderful adventure

5.00We had a great time! The tour was well organized, safety was emphasized, the boat was super clean, and our guides got us up close to lots of dolphins. The snorkeling part was a lot of fun, too, with delicious watermelon and pineapple at the end. It was a perfect half day activity.

5.00The dolphin watching tour including snorkeling in Sámara was just great! The snorkeling tour was great fun and was very well organized. Our guide Alex was absolutely top – set up, funny, very nice and well informed. You could tell he's doing his job with a lot of passion. The highlight was of course that we could see both turtles and dolphins – an unforgettable experience! The physical well-being was also taken care of: There was fresh melon and pineapple as a snack as well as water and juices, which we really appreciated. However, you have to prepare for a lot of boating, especially if you quickly become seasick. But that's individual. Overall an all-round successful tour, which we would do again at any time and absolutely recommend.

3.00Transfer worked well. We were about 20 people on the catamaran perfectly fine. Snorkeling equipment was provided and looked neat. Unfortunately, the guide did not quite convince us, did not convey so much information and did not really create a mood. We saw dolphins and snorkeled more in the open sea. Pool digs were provided, but in our opinion vests would be dissuaded at this point. We were picked up at 8am and were back at the hotel at 12pm. For our taste a little short. Price performance in our eyes not so good.

5.00The crew was very friendly and entertaining. We saw two different schools of dolphins, a sperm whale, turtles, and a sword fish.
Do this in the dry season.

3.00We made the mistake of doing this excursion in the wet season. The boat ride was rocky and the water was too churned up to snorkel. My husband enjoyed the boat ride but I threw up 8 times. We saw a few dolphins but not at the destination. The guides were nice and accommodating but the experience should be avoided on the wet season.

5.00The Seafari crew Jorge, Paolo and Steven did an excellent job finding the sea life for us - humpback whales, spotted dolphins and Ridley turtles. The boat was great quality and we enjoyed the fruit and juice. Our family had fun on the slide at the end. Snorkeling was a no go due to poor sea conditions that day. After comparing experiences on Get Your Guide, Viatour and airbnb we were glad we looked past those and instead opted for the Samara Adventures Seafari tour.
