Sichuan Hotpot has a history of at least 1700 years. Today Sichuan Hotpots have been increased in category to include the "Red Pot" (Spicy hotpot flavor with chili peppers and Sichuan peppercorns), the “White Pot” (Non-spicy hotpot flavor with broth) and ‘Double Pot’ (Including the first two). With the help of your guide, you will be cooking both the spicy hotpot and the Non-spicy pot and learn to cut and set dishes with decorations, which will be guided by a professional chef.
This experience will have a very unique local market visit as well, you will try to learn and taste the different foods in this beautiful city.

What To Expect
Your guide will lead you through a vibrant spice market, where you can explore the colorful array of local ingredients and savor some authentic snacks along the way. After the market experience, you'll head to the cooking class venue. Upon arrival, take a moment to relax with a cup of traditional Sichuan tea. Then, under the guidance of a professional chef, you'll craft your own hand-made spicy beef hotpot base, prepare a beautifully arranged platter of fresh ingredients, and mix your personal dipping sauce. Finally, sit back and enjoy the hotpot you’ve created, accompanied by a selection of beers or other beverages.

5.00Thank you for this morning which has completely satisfied us! Very interesting market visit, very professional cuisine, clear explanations, without being a formatted speech. So a lot of human heat with the heat of the peppers. Lance was a perfect, attentive, cultivated and generous guide. The location of the course was authentic and human-sized. In short, a very nice experience!

We started this incredible venture with Lance our tour guide from Chilli Cool China who from the moment we got picked up was engaging and delightful! We started our tour at the local spice market that included fresh local vegetables and an array of unique ingredients that we used for our Hot Pot cooking class. Our cooking experience was meticulously planned by our cooking instructor with step by step instructions creating the most delicious Hot Pot we’ve ever eaten. If we could give it 10 stars we would! If you want to learn the authentic skills and know how for creating this masterpiece, then Chilli Cool China is the place!! Thanks so much Lance and Lee!

5.00A truly 10/10 experience! Our host Lance and our cooking instructor went above and beyond. The entire experience from start to finish was entertaining and informative. Lance was very knowledgeable and engaging, always willing to answer all of our questions and assist with anything along the way. I can honestly say that this was the best experience I've ever had with a booking on TripAdvisor, it was a very personal experience that far exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended to anyone curious about cooking authentic Sichuan food, the spices and overall process.
