What To Expect
Maras
The guide will pick you up from your hotel at 9:00 am and then head to Moray for 1 hour and 30 minutes, which is 7 km from the city of Cusco. You will take the Chinchero route, appreciating the beautiful landscape until you reach your destination. Destination Moray, upon arriving at the place you will have one of the most spectacular views where there are circular terraces of different sizes, they are terraces for agricultural experimentation and places of concentration of feminine energy, which is why it is considered a magnetic center of Pachamama. After this experience you will go to the archaeological site of Maras, a picturesque town surrounded by beautiful landscapes and which gives its name to the salt mines that surround it, which are made up of around 3,000 small wells. You will go to a viewpoint to contemplate these impressive salt quarries and discover their history for an hour. • You will return to Cusco at 2:00 p.m.

The Maras salt mines are a photographer’s dream, with thousands of shimmering salt pools creating an otherworldly landscape. Moray, on the other hand, is an engineering marvel, the Incas’ way of testing crops in different microclimates. The private experience allowed us to take our time, enjoy the views, and ask plenty of questions.
