Thank you so much to Peter and Christina! This tour was a long day but was wonderful. Peter drove us all over Austria and told us all about Austria and the different sights. Christina was our guide when we got to Hallstatt and did a great job telling us about the city. Although the day is long, there are plenty of stops along the way. The small tour option was great! There were only four of us on the tour. Highly recommend 😊

An incredible day out! Peter picked up us early from our hotel and we went on our way. What a day we had. Peter filled us with facts, information and history, pointing out lots of landmarks. We stopped several times on the way in the amazing Lakes District. Amazing views and photo opportunities. We then arrived at Halstatt and was met by our local guide who showed us through the village. The village is beautiful and lives up to it's reputation. Enjoy a guided tour, Peter showed us things we never would have ordinarily seen and am so glad to now have those in our memories.

The trip to Hallstatt was great. It was just 3 people. We got pickup on Audi station wagon with free wifi. Our guide was very informative about Vienna. We enjoyed our time in Hallstatt with private tour guide and had plenty time to explore on our own. I would take the tour again if I had the chance.

I didn't plan this trip, I booked tour to Saltsburg, but it was canceled and company suggested to take lake trip instead. It was reasonable replacement. We visited all beautiful lakes, spent some time in Hallstatt and also visited Klimt's village (Unterach) and St. Gilgen where Mozart's mother was born. This tour is very well organized, driver Balazs and local guide in Hallstatt were super nice and provided lots of info.

The day trip tour to Hallstatt was an incredible experience! Our guides through White Alligator Tours were amazing. Both were extremely knowledgeable and personable. The alpine villages themselves were beautiful and unique and there were interesting stops on the way to and from Hallstatt that positively added to the overall experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone traveling in and around Vienna!

This tour is definitely worth the early start. We were picked up at our hotel in the early hours by Peter. He was our guide and driver. The Mercedes Mini Bus is very comfortable easily accommodating our group of 6. There is wifi for those who need to be connected. We were driven through Vienna and the tour started straight away with Peter telling us about the city. We were driven through some beautiful scenery all the while being told of various points of interest. The stop off points on the way to Hallstatt were quite frequent and included a stop off at a service for breakfast if you wanted. In Hallstatt itself a local guide takes over and again gives a fantastic tour at your own pace. They even found us a table at a very decent restaurant. On the return trip you will be driven straight back to Vienna but they will stop if comfort breaks are needed. The tour is pricey but you definitely get your money's worth. Individual, professional, friendly and knowledgeable guides who will give you an excellent experience.

We had a wonderful experience with White Alligator Tours and our guide, Peter. We enjoyed seeing many of the small villages in the Lake Region before our ultimate destination of Hallstatt. We visited a very snowy Hallstatt where we could, unfortunately, not see the surrounding mountains do to fog, but it was charming nonetheless. The majestic waterfall at the entrance to town was frozen and added to the winter wonderland vibe. Note most businesses in Hallstatt (and other villages in the Lake Region) are cash only, so be sure to bring some Euros.

Wonderful day Trip from Vienna. Peter our driver was fantastic and we stopped off at a number of locations along the way to Hallstatt. The town itself was picturesque despite the heavy snow. When we arrived at the town a local guide took us around for a tour of town and had a brief history and pointed us to the places to visit, eat or take pictures. The ride home was long (only due to heavy snow) but our driver Peter navigated the roads well to ensure a safe return to Vienna. He was excellent and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Peter was an excellent guide! Gave tons of information on the way out of Vienna that made the drive fly by. He was knowledgeable and engaging. And of course the towns and scenery are incredible! Would ABSOLUTELY recommend!

Hallstatt is beautiful and the tour was a good way to see it for a day if you don’t have multiple days available to fully explore the lake region. I booked this one for the small group size instead of the giant tour bus experience. The driving was terrifying. Our driver was going close to 100 during a snow and sleet blizzard, weaving from lane to lane to pass cars. There were multiple accidents that day and being from a snowy state, it was absolutely bonkers we were going that fast in a van in those conditions.
