  I facilitate a women's group in Franklin and always try to find unique things to do and was pretty excited about this tour. We rescheduled our original tour because of the threat of bad weather, which considering the tornado warning and hail was a good call. The tour company was totally cool with rescheduling and it was easy. Then it all went down hill yesterday. We all received a group text at 6:43pm (tour at 8:30) that the time was being moved to 9pm and the location changed. I had a little misunderstanding who sent the text because we already had a group chat going but no one was happy about the changes. Coordinating a group is never easy and little changes can throw a wrench in everything. When I called the tour company, the woman I spoke with was very flippant and baffled at our frustration and acted like she was doing us a favor by having the tour start at 8:45. The new location doesn't offer free parking and our group has moms in it and people who don't want to be downtown Nashville any later than we planned. I told her we may cancel and probably want a refund and told flat out no refund. After talking it over, we decided to cancel. Unfortunately, one friend was already in an Uber to my house. I called the tour company at 7:35 and left a voicemail to cancel the tour for the group (since I was able to reschedule for the group originally). Also asked for confirmation. Around 8:40 ( while driving my friend home, didn't want her to pay for another Uber) we called to just confirm the cancelation, even though they made the changes, I didn't want a guide just standing around. The man who answered was out the gate rude. I think we had a bad connection because he kept accusing me of interrupting when I was being silent. I ended up hanging up so I could call back with a hopefully better connection. The man called back and was hostile, berating and gaslighting which was weird because he didn't even let me say much. He told me I couldn't cancel for everyone because they were 5 separate reservations. Then went on to tell me how they could read our entire group chat (so why were they surprised we were canceling)? Told me I was rude to my friends and was surprised I had friends. He then told me I was NOT getting a refund because they notified us with a two hour notice of the changes (they didn't, it was an hour and 45 minutes so they broke policy). I whispered to my friend if I take right and he must've mistook that and said "I know what you are doing, go ahead and record me and tell your family lawayer". I was so dumbfounded and I didn't speak. Then he used my whole name like it was an insult and told me to " go tell my LA daddy" and hung up. Oh and somewhere in there wanted me to know that they had 600 five star reviews. The hyperbolic diatribe was a weird and confusing exchange. I get having a bad day and clearly, he dislikes people with LA phone numbers but this was unhinged. Side note for my new friend at the tour company, I am a local, just went to UCLA. My "LA daddy" actually passed away and we just celebrated his birthday. I hope your night got better and you found a stress reliever because, my friend you need it! I did get a refund from viator and let our group know to avoid this tour.

  “The guide showed up and was nice but we spent and it’s not her fault but we spent an hour and a half at the Tennessee state capitol and she then walked us to the hermitage hotel where we stood outside the building for maybe 20 mins. We didn’t go in any hotels. We didn’t go to the other two places that were listed. Want my money retur” I couldn’t put more then 300 characters but this is what I’m putting she didn’t take us to where we were supposed to go

  Such a great experience! It was supposed to rain our entire trip and they went out of their way to reach out to us to see if we wanted to reschedule to another day (tour is rain or shine). We unfortunately were not able to go another day during our trip, so they offered to change the time since the time we were supposed to go was when it was going to rain the heaviest. We changed our time and completely avoided the rain! Our tour guide Angie was great! She gave information about the buildings we visited and what had happened in these places. Plus getting to witness some of the responses from the ghosts we learned about in these areas was really interesting.
