In our tour we will show you the famous castle in Heidelberg, which has a historical history. The whole structure, the castle and the courtyard are impressive with their ruins and their construction. The castle is several centuries old and offers a wonderful view of the city from its huge terrace. Here you can see one of the largest wine barrels in the world.
After the castle visit we will give you some private time and you can walk through the medieval center and visit the Renaissance Haus zum Ritter and the Heiliggeistkirche.

After about 1 hour drive there we will visit Heidelberg Castle. In our tour we will show you the famous castle from Heidelberg, which has a historical history. The whole structure, the castle and the courtyard impress with their ruins and construction. The castle is several centuries old and offers a wonderful view over the city from its huge terrace. Here you are looking at one of the largest wine barrels in the world.

After visiting the castle we walk through the medieval center to the old bridge and the Karlstor, the Renaissance house to the knight, the Heiliggeistkirche. We drive about 1 hour back to the meeting point.

4.00Overall, this was a very enjoyable and well-organized tour from Frankfurt to Heidelberg. The guide was knowledgeable and provided interesting historical context throughout the journey, especially during the visit to the Heidelberg Castle, which was a definite highlight. We were given about an hour on our own, which was just enough for either a relaxed lunch or a quick round of sightseeing – but not both. An additional 30 minutes would have been nice.

5.00Micheal was our tour guide. He was very informative and made the trip so fun! He has lots of knowledge and keeps things on time. He made sure we had time to explore the old town and offered umbrellas to keep us dry from the rain! He speaks many different languages and is able to accommodate tourists with different backgrounds!

5.00Micheal was very nice! He knew a lot and told us everything about Heidelberg and the castle. We even extended and went to Rothenburg. I do think we overpaid to extend (not sure the price was correct, $400 US more ) but we had a great day and would recommend this tour!
