On this private tour, you will enjoy all the important tourist attractions in the old town of Heidelberg. Heidelberg with its romantic castle and baroque old town is ranked among the top 5 tourist attractions in Germany. In an easy and sometimes funny manner, you will learn a lot about its history and spectacular sights.
Lunch break (lunch not included) will be in a typical, very cozy German restaurant, offering local specialties as well as international or vegetarian cuisine. There and -if you book it- during the car ride your guide will supply lots of interesting information about Germany in general and give you helpful advice for the continuation of your vacation.
Your guide is fluently bilingual in German and English and upon request can do the tour in what we call "easy English" (designated for guests with English as a foreign language).
PS: If you do not book the hotel pickup from Frankfurt, we will meet you in Heidelberg (train station or any place you wish).

5.0We really enjoyed our time with Maik on this tour. The conversation was both informative and enjoyable. He made allowances for a less than sunny day for us to get the best shots possible and to see things with the best view. The castle tour was excellent. We enjoyed learning all about the history of the castle. Lunch was very good and he really took the time to help us understand the dishes on the menu and gave us great recommendations. Maik gave us valuable, cultural insights and ensured that our day was a wonderful time spent in Heidelberg. Definitely recommend!!

1.0The most surly, obnoxious boor of a Tour Guide ever! Ruined the experience- very disappointing to be treated so rudely for such an expensive tour- that we were so looking forward to.

5.0Michael was wonderful, he picked me up at the Marriott promptly and was a wealth of knowledge and historical insights. I was the only one for the tour, which was a pleasant surprise, and he could not have been more enthusiastic if there had been 10 people. I had never been to Heidelberg, and it is a magnificent city, and the tour of the castle, ancient wine celler, the city sights, and lunch were all fantastic. Michael shared a lot about the history of the Palatinate and modern Germany. The tour and tour leader have my highest recommendations!

5.0Very comfortable ride to and from Heidelberg. I would recommend a ride from your hotel as you learn so much from Maik along the way. Everything was stunning. The restaurant Maik took us to was the best German food we encountered on our whole trip. Highly recommend.
