In our tour we will show you the famous castle from Heidelberg. The whole structure, the castle and the courtyard impress with their ruins and construction. The castle is several centuries old and offers a wonderful view over the city from its huge terrace.

After visiting the castle we walk through the medieval center to the old bridge and the Karlstor, the Renaissance house to the knight, the Heiliggeistkirche.

Following Heidelberg, our tour guide in Rothenburg will guide you on foot and we walk together through the picturesque historic streets. Then it's on to the beautiful Burggarten and St. Jacob's Church with the world-famous Holy Blood Altar.

Continue to visit the Crime Museum, the fantastic Doll and Toy Museum and/or the Christmas Museum. We will also show you a very special place for beautiful souvenirs. There are wood carvings, glasses, Christmas decorations, beer mugs and even cuckoo clocks. Together we can still enjoy the famous "snowball" made of sweet shortcrust pastry.

Worth every penny! Beautiful Heidelberg castle and Rothenburg was out of a movie!!! I would highly recommend getting out of the city, learning history and exploring German villages!

The pick up spot is out front of the Le Meridien hotel lobby. Michael & Stefan were excellent driver/tour guides. Very knowledgeable and knew when to let us explore. I highly recommend this tour!

We had a fantastic small-group day tour from Frankfurt to Heidelberg and Rothenburg! The intimate group size made the experience relaxed and personal, and our guide shared lots of interesting cultural insights along the way. Both cities offered stunning views, rich history, and plenty of charm. A perfect day trip I highly recommend! Our guide was full of history and knowledge, he was very friendly and helpful.

This was an amazing day -an amazing castle, scenic views, and a wonderful old village. Rothenburg was so awesome - we could've spent a whole day there. Michael was a great driver and tour guide as well!

We loved our day trip out of Frankfurt to Heidelberg and Rothenburg. Michael was a great guide with lots of knowledge about the history and architecture. The trip was worth the drive - 1 hour to Heidelberg; then another 1.5 hours to Rothenburg; then 2 hours back to Frankfurt. Michael even made the car ride interesting!

This was a convenient and personalized way to visit two pretty villages near Frankfurt in the same day. Our guide Michael was friendly and told us lots of interesting stories and history. The van was very clean. We were picked up dropped off exactly as the tour instructions described. It felt like VIP treatment to be shuttled in and out of town and dropped off at the front door of the tourist sites. Really glad we took the experience and I would recommend it to others.

Beautiful towns to visit and Michael provided us with so much information on a variety of topics. The vehicles (we traveled in one for Heidelberg and another for Rothenburg) used were very comfortable and we felt safe with Michael at the wheel, even in heavy rain.

A beautiful tour of Heidelberg & Rothenburg! Michael was an amazing tour guide! So knowledgable and personable. He was very attentive to all of the travelers. He gave a gift to each couple as a remembrance of the trip. We loved both cities and. the history/views of each was very different. He gave a great commentary and welcomed questions.
