  Amazing experience! If you have the opportunity and time to go to El Mirador do it. Specially all who are passionate about archeology and ancient civilizations. From the first moment we had friendly and helpful communication with Antonio. The whole team welcomed us as his guests. And we had an awesome pilot! Also our guide, Cesar, was so passionate about his work. Even the guys working at the archeological site were super nice (we speak Spanish so we could interact with them too). Thank you Antonio, Héctor, César and Jair for the wonderful day. We will not forget this marvelous experience.

  5+ stars! Beautiful experience. The El Mirador complex is a must-see for all who are passionate about archeology and ancient civilizations. We were treated like 5 star guests by everyone since day 1. Friendly, helpful communication with Antonio who welcomed us as his guests, we felt safe and welcomed by everyone at the centre of operations (friendly staff and experienced pilot) and last but not least Cesar, our guide, who is passionate about his work and was our true jungle companion and endless source of knowledge for the whole day. • Once in a lifetime deep jungle experience

  I had been wanting to visit El Mirador ever since I first found out about it. I contacted multiple agencies with no luck, and finally managed to arrange a helicopter flight through Tikal Expedition. I was very nervous going into it because I had been wanting to do this for such a long time, but they were quick to answer any questions I had. The tour itself was well organized and Caesar was an amazing guide with deep knowledge and understanding of Mayan culture. We got to see some active excavation sites and everything we saw was very well explained. Yes, this absolutely is an expensive day, but it's also a day I'll never forget. The experience of flying a helicopter deep into the jungle, landing on a cleared out patch of grass and afterwards being met by some incredible ruins that are thousands of years old is a true once in a lifetime experience. It's hard to comprehend the scale of this place, with it being so remote and so old. Keep in mind this is still an active archaeological site, so you'll walk past some hills and the guide will casually mention there's a temple hidden under all that jungle. To me it just adds to the mystique of the place. 10/10 would recommend

  Excellent tour! From the moment they passed us to the hotel they provided us with recommendations and necessary security measures from all the equipment that accompanied us. All highly trained staff, inclusive of senior citizens and children. We loved the trip, the experience and learned a lot from the guide.   We booked the La Danta Helicopter tour, the largest Pyramid in the Mayan World by its volume. We were a little undecided since due to our time in Flores and we spoke with Antonio for this tour and he very kindly assisted us. We were amazed by this place in the middle of the jungle, our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the area. Without a doubt highly recommended

  The helicopter ride was so cool! Our guide Ronnie was excellent and so knowledgeable, so nice to have him as our guide!! The el Mirador site is amazing, so many structures and history. And you have the site and tour mostly to yourselves, such a wonderful experience, the best of our trip!! Tikal Expeditions is the best!!
